We offer local client photo-based videos, I also want to get some REAL traffic to the video and see it in SERP in lower competition keywords.
What would you recommend?

What you've outlined is very doable Tsarina. Once you have your file name, title, and description filled with your targeted keyword and you fill out the rest of the description box with keyword and related keyword rich content you should start to see some views etc.

Don't forget to utilize the Tags properly - copy and paste 5-10 from the top videos in your niche and you'll be associated with them and hopefully get some views. Add in some social bookmarking and you should see some good rankings.

If not, then analyze your efforts and see where are you short i.e. is your On Page up to scratch or is it your Off Page that's letting you down?

You get your videos from Fiverr and have them for clients? Seriously?

I'm not sure that's a good place to start.

And from where did you get that notion? I have someone doing them in-house, use Fiverr for selected voceovers. But will be glad to utilize Fiverr to promote them.

Views will help it rank in SERPs. Post the video on every social bookmarking site you can find. Post it on every social networking site you can find. Post it in forums and make it a video response to another video. There's a lot more you can do. Check my sig.

Thanks for advice. What is a rule of thumb of number of views to affect SERP correlation? For something with low competition
Make a video response to related video, or "who cares"?

Getting views will greatly help you boost your rankings. I am putting together an entire YouTube marketing plan that I have been using where I was able to get #1 through #3 spots on Google and YouTube for difficult keywords. Will be an entire training course out in 6 weeks. There is a science to it and no way to everything you need to know in 1 post.

I don't know if there's a number for views to affect SERP correlation. I would bet the # is different for different keywords. Rule of thumb is, the more views the better. Having said that, make sure these are legit views, not bought views. I would research what - if any - videos are coming up now in SERPs and make more/better videos to beat them.

Make a video response to videos related to your niche/topic. It has to be informative and add to the value of the original video. The original video poster has to approve your response (most of the time) so it can't be a blatant ad for your stuff.

Also, it may be tougher to rank a slideshow or photo-based video. Not impossible though.

Optimize your videos for your lower competition keywords that you are using for you local clients.

Video marketing is really easy. Especially when you are dealing with lower competition keywords. You can get the video indexed within minutes and may even be ranking that same day.

Optimize your video by making sure keywords are in:

    Title (2x if you can)
    Descritipion
    tags in "quotes"

And submit a few backlinks with SocialMonkee (25 free links per day).

If you still aren't ranking then pick up a gig on Fiverr for bookmarks or web 2.0 properties with your anchor text keyword.

You should be ranking in no time.

    I hope this helps!

Optimize your videos, (think title, description etc). Just read the comments in this thread of the other helpful people here.

But ALSO, you get ranked faster (and be possibly in the Treding section of youtube)..
if you have a lot of 'activity' in your video in the 1st hour of uploading.. so with activity i mean:

    - Comments on your video
    - Lot of Likes & add to favourite's
    - Lot of people who are sharing it.
    - Some views.
    etc

Some people are buying Likes, Favorite's and traffic to it. But I dont know if you want to go this route since its not very honest/ethical, best way is if you have a network of friends who just like and favorite your video in the first hour of uploading! (its less dishonest )

    Hope it helps!

    Greetings

    Alphy

There are quite a few WSO's covering this

I recently bought Tube Raider (do a search in the WSO section)and I am very happy with it (full disclosure I also bought the Resell and PLR rights).

John has closed the WSO, but if you email his help desk , he passes on the leads to Tube raider owners like myself....I might get lucky!

    Best of Success.

You have to make sure that your content is what people are looking for. Not only do you want traffic, you want targeted traffic who are potential buyers.

The "how to" type tutorials often do very well. Animoto type videos with no real content just don't cut it.

You can also buy some backlinks from Fiverr for it to rank on Google Page 1. You can build links aggressively and not get "slapped" by Google.

Most importantly, don't buy fake views from Fiverr or Vagex.

    Indexing Videos is very easy.
Make sure you have your keywords in Title, description and add appropriate tags, if you are not sure of the tags, see a video which is already ranked for your keyword. You will get an Idea.
For ranking youtube videos within youtube, you should need views, likes.
For ranking the videos in google search, you should create high quality backlinks to them. Run a small senuke campaign, do some bookmarks and you will rank in no time!
