eBook Publishing on iTunes, Kindle, etc...

Hey All!

I've got a regular .pdf eBook that's selling well right now. I'm starting to get more and more requests for a .mobi format book and I'm getting more people with iPads, Kindle, etc...

I'm also planning on writing a 2nd and a 3rd book.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to get started learning about publishing to these mobile platforms? I think we're all aware that this is where the world is going.

I'm somewhat behind on my knowledge of the newer mobile stuff, so some basic resources to get my knowledge up to speed on how to publish for iTunes, amazon, etc would be great.

Thanks!

Adam

Check out smashwords. They make it easy for you to transfer to all those platforms and one upload, when properly formatted, can be used for ePub, PDF, HTML, and Kindle if you choose to do it trough them. They also have excellent support document and as long as you follow their instructions, publishing there is a breeze. Good luck!

I was also going to suggest Smashwords. They have super easy tutorials to create these documents yourself and they take a humourous approach to it which is fun.

Signing up to kindle is easy. iTunes are mostly used for podcasts. On kindle, sign up, and submit your book for approval. Also, like others say, get on Smashwords so that you can get your ebook on Sony's version of the kindle.
