Still Buying You Tube marketing Courses...? LOL!!

Let's see if any of this sounds familiar..

Read various courses on how to make good.. easy.. fast..passive cash with YouTube marketing. (check)

Get yourself an account with Amazon or Clickbank. Find lower hanging fruit buyer keywords that have 300 maybe 400 searches or more exact match per month that apply to your product.

Keywords like: "Buy product name"..."review product name"..."best price product name".. (check)

Use the keyword in the title. Use your redirected or shortened affiliate link in the description. Add some info about the product. If using Amazon..go for products with great reviews and cost over 200.00. (check) New releases and best sellers the way to go!

Use legal images of product from Amazon, include some features and how people like it...never using any content copied from site but re word everything. (check)

Buy rights to commercial music tracks..(check) or give appropriate attribution to the artist that allows you to use the music for commercial reasons. Or do a fake review with narration saying how you like this product according to some courses.

Go set up video campaign for it if you like so you can add annotations across bottom of video so people can click away right to your product page to buy. (didn't do this yet)

Upload about 100 of these using several different Youtube accounts so they aren't all in one channel. (check)

Go ping the URLs of your videos. (check) You should bookmark here and there as well. (check, some submitted to Twitter- one time and one account only)

Some Gooorooos say now go and buy arse load of backlinks to the URLS. Go sign up for one of those blog networks like ALN for even more backlinks. Oh yeah...they're all being de-indexed! lol

(Have any of them told you this yet)...?Now go and buy huge amounts of views (inflating views is against YT TOS by the way). Just keep blasting the crap out of those URLS they say. (I didn't do any of this)

Okay..so now I have created some nice little videos up there on YouTube and I am actually making sales inside of a week - YAY!

Someone comes along..(maybe a competitor, maybe someone looking for a "review" although I never used the term review anywhere in my description like most marketers do).

They simply click on the flag button. Very simple.

I go to upload a video and get a notice out of the blue from Google, saying...hey we noticed you are trying to log in from a different location! (Not true) But even if I was...what the crap difference would it make since I have the password for my stupid Gmail account!

Then I come to find out that 3 channels with all the videos were taken down. Someone had flagged a single video in each channel by the looks of it.

3 channels, all with videos that YT says are legal to do...promoting my own business. No offensive content or copyright material. Sparing use of tags, no hype in description.

All of it gone because someone simply reported the videos.

Now YouTube says they do manual review..hard to believe. No reason given. No appeal. Nothing.

Good luck, and my sympathies to any of you who are using YouTube for affiliate marketing. Good luck to all of you who are still lining gooroo pockets with cash trying to learn this method. If just one person learns from my experience then cool.

Pat

Well what can I say? It's a free share video uploader. There's a lot of substitutes for youtube like vimeoh, veoh, metacafe, dailymotion. Why don't you try there. May be your lucky things happen better than youtube.

So people shouldn't market on Youtube because its not 'safe'?

Nothing's safe my friend, a site on the first page of Google could be pushed to the 20th after an update.

A site could be pulled down by the FTC.

A PPC campaign could end up costing you thousands of dollars you don't have.

Amazon and Clickbank could decide they don't wanna' pay you.

Your main traffic source could be pulled from under your feet.

Nothing in IM is sure and safe. You gotta' do what you gotta' do.

That kind of attitude - the whats the point in trying because it sounds stupid. Will get you nowhere my friend.

I do see where you are coming from with the legal issues though, never break the law. It will come back to bite you in the a**.

No need to get itchy. Just move on from there and find some other thing that works. This was just the same experience with google adwords, twitter traffic, facebook ads and youtube marketing. The pinterest rave is also gradually coming to a halt.

The fact is, while you're complaining, many are still banking hard exploiting newer traffic strategies and even adapting the old ones.

    Just my 2 cents

No doubt moving on is the thing to do. I've been a full time marketer for over 7 years now, so it's not like I just fell off the turnip truck. Yes I guess I'm a little itchy about this. lol

The whole point of my post is do not put eggs in baskets where you have absolutely no control over who does what to you.

If you get your site Google slapped it's most likely cause you did something wrong with your link building....or your content is crap or there's not enough of it.

If you lose on a PPC campaign it's cause you don't know how to set up a campaign properly.

These are things you can remedy.

This BS with YT is beyond measure. It's not only "not safe"..it's just plain stupid IMHO.

Anyway...thanks for letting me rant! =)
