I'm averaging 5$ per day from those 12,000$ Unique Visitors using Adsense.

I played with Adsense positioning, tried Amazon widgets and Loans (by cj.com).

Can you suggest something better?

Depending upon your niche it could easily beat $5

Maybe you can capture leads and then sell a related product with a 7 day email series...

There are a few things, But I would say you should do CPM, Then you do not need your "visitor" to take any "action" for you to make money, You get paid simply becuase they see a banner ad on your site.

Shoot, just send them to ebay. Someone will buy something within the 30 days or so the cookie lasts. I bet it would make more than $5 a day.

Most of my ebay income comes from products that I was not even promoting. Just random items they happen to purchase while the cookie is still in place.

My friend, if there is anything worse for making money online than bot-visits, it is visits from humans who are in a BROWSING (not buying or "solution-to-a-problem-have" oriented) trance.

The above is proof. If there is anything I have learned is numbers on the internet can be VERY deceiving.

My own website has TRICKLETS of traffic - like 0.1% of the traffic that you are getting to yours, and yet they are targetted and I am cranking $300-$500 per month.

"Shot-gun" marketing is no match for "razor's edge" marketing and, in the online world where everyone is becoming increasingly jaded and wary of being "sold to", this is becoming increasingly true.

So do all the above, but do concentrate on inviting in targetted traffic. Effort involved, yes, but you will be MUCH better off.

From one targeted traffic site I get around 60$ from 700 visitors (and even that can be improved I'm sure)

Right, I just went through 4 pages looking for an Adsense banner and couldn't see one. Upon leaving I noticed the big banner above the main page.

Now, I saw the Wiki sign and banner so my initial subconcious told me that's the header and on any website is there usually anything interesting above the header? no. And I believe this is the reason I didn't notice it for 4 pages even though I was looking for it.

2nd problem is the images. I've notice that text out performs images on a wide range of my niches. I'll report back with the positions and colours I would use shortly.

I use to think that position or colour had nothing to do with earnings but honestly even the slightest change can boost it.

This may not be what you want to hear, but if you want to make money with adsense you cant be subtle about it. The adsense blocks need to be screaming in the browsers face. They have to make the browser want to leave your site. If you're not ok with this than you have to find a different way to monetize.

Just glancing at the site a little more I think you need to scrap the adsense ads altogether. Just look at the kind of ads you're getting. The first one I see is about financial freedom. This doesn't seem to have anything to do with you're site. The keyword freedom is triggering these ads since that's all the adsense bot knows how to do.

You're challenge is that I dont think visitors to your site have any intention of getting close to taking out their credit card for anything, based on the content. You need to find a common ground among you're visitors and find a product, or create one, that theyd be willing to buy.

Study where they're coming from and you should find your answer.

Ok, I just checked out the site (i didn't see the URL in my last post, sorry..) and it seems like your major problem is related to demographics and not being able to pinpoint and connect with your visitors.. I agree with some of the other members in the sense that the Adsense ads don't fit well with the site that you are running or at least the banners you are running on the top and side are ugly and detract from the experience... I think it might be wise to incorporate some sort of survey plugin on the sidebar and ask questions that will help you pinpoint your visitors interests and needs... It might seem a little far fetched but you definitely need to create a marketing plan for wikibin.org...

first thing I would do if I were you is to sell some ad space on your site... you can use CPM like Micah7 said, or you could sell your ad space directly by placing an "Advertise Here" link..

Oh by the way, do you collect your visitor's email address and name?
