eBook creation software?

Hey warriors,

What do you use to create your ebooks, as far as writing them, not cover art and such.

I've always used Word but I'm just wondering if there are better tools out there.

Word with Adobe Acrobat. I've heard that many others use Open Office because it's free, but I don't think they have better tools available than Word has. For a really polished look you could use something like Adobe InDesign, I've never tried but I'd imagine you could make a great looking ebook that way.

But in most scenarios Word or Open Office will work just fine as the content itself is most important.

I use a template with word and then put them thru an instant formatting tool to finish.

I use the PDF feature in either Word or OpenOffice. Some things are easier in one than the other, so they both have their strong points.

    All the best,

Word and PDF feature is the usual way to go. However there are some tools out there that include templates that could be more useful if you are an heavy ebook creator.
