Directory of Ezines.. Anyone?

Hi warriors,

I used to bought DOE mainly for the solo-ad purpose few years back.. I bought it because in 2009 my first plan was to build a list, SOLO-ad is so cheap in DOE it's only $48 to 200,000 lists (if i remember correctly).. i mean wow, that's GOOD! I eventually went on to bought 4 solo-ads right after that.. BUT guess what, i only have 2 subscribers out of the 1,000,000 list.. I mean I have tested my squeeze and the conversion rate is between 10% - 25% .. so after the disappointing result, the first thing that came to my mind was DOE is a "scam".. So eventually I asked for a refund.. <-- My bad, I was naive!

I just wanna hear from anyone who have used DOE, what's the main purpose and benefit of DOE? Do you see results using it? Especially article marketing

Thank you in advance,
Jeremiah

P.S. I plan on buying back DOE for good (of course NO MORE refund this time)! Sorry Charlie!

i used DOE a couple of years ago and yes they do have quite a few lists in there but for IM i found it to be pretty garbage

theres lots of other niches too but for what you pay just to join the DOE you could spend that money on a solo ad campaign and get a few hundreds subscribers and lots of buyers as long as you have a good offer

i use my own list of solo ads now which ive accumilated over the last 6 months and it works well for me

    I find these information surprising.

Why do a guy like myob use DOE then? Seems like he uses it quite a lot, from reading his posts. I was planning to signup myself, a bit confused now. Only the "IM list" being worthless? What about the rest?

How many niches are there to choose from?

Same here, I'm not in the IM niche at all anymore.
Do they have lists related to pets, webmasters (in general), finance, green energy etc.?

I have indeed recommended the Directory of Ezines often, and still use it almost daily. The problem with ezines in the IM niche (and money-making niches in general) is that they disproportionately tend to come and go frequently; being extremely short-lived compared to others. It is a reflection on this niche, and not at all about this directory or any other source. Besides, since the DOE has a 60-day money-back guarantee from Clickbank, is it really such a gamble?

By no means comprehensive or all-inclusive, the DOE is simply an enhanced listing of ezines sorted by niche, and includes publisher contact info, number of subscribers, ad rates, and ezines accepting articles. Just as with any other time-saving marketing tool, success will vary depending upon one's skill set. If you have more time than money, you can certainly slog through search engines to find ezine publishers.

Thanks Myob.. yeah I know they do offer a 60 days refund Hmm, nonetheless, I'm not that kind of person who would like to ask for a refund, especially when I've already refunded once before.. That's just a little imperfection that makes me, me..

Alright I'll probably just go for it

            Thanks,
            Jeremiah

Yeah, it is. Apparently, he's had some problems due to an injury, so things are going more slowly than he'd like.

This is incorrect. The DOE is up and running, and the lifetime membership fee is still $197.

Not any more. It's $197 per year now.
