In a website, should one create post and pages with same names. That is for every page, a post is also created with the same name.

    Hey there Cbnet,

I'm not sure I (or anyone else) understand...

Are you asking if you should create a post and a page with the same URL location? Or are you asking if you should have a post called "pricing" and a page called "pricing"?

And... perhaps you could help us understand why it is you're asking this question. Are you looking to gain some benefit for SEO purposes or something?

I'm not sure why you would want to do this. The short answer is no.

The same name posts & pages' urls will be different. As one will be created as post & other as a page but with a same name. Purpose is as follows:

I will be building a static website, but will keep on adding contents under the static pages. So one would not know if some thing has been added to a page which he already read a few days ago. Creating posts with the same names will inform the visiters about the newly added contents.

Publishing the same content in two places on your site is not a very good idea. This is duplicate content and is not recommended. I would just stick to either posts or pages. If you are going to be updating things regularly then just create a blog and only use posts.
