Facebook New Design and Fanpages

Don't you just hate Facebook?

It took me ages to figure out how to setup my Fanpage the way I wanted it. Everything was hunky-dory and then they came out with a new design that naffs it all up

Does anyone know how to set a Facebook App to be the default view on a Fanpage under this new arrangement?

    Hey Will,

    Facebook took off the default landing page. There's no way to do that. THERE IS however way's to make call to actions and such to lead them to that page.

    Alternatively, you'll have to link straight to the landing page you want them to see. You'll still need a good set up on the homepage though, the people that like it will be coming to the homepage of it, not your "default" landing page that you want.

    Hello Will

    I think the new Facebook layout sucks too.

    Yes - they took away the ability to add a default landing page.

    However - there are some advantages about the new Facebook layout including the ability to pin any of your status/page updates to the top of the page.

    I know it's not the same as having users go straight to your landing page - but perhaps you could use this feature to link to it.

    Hope this helps somewhat.

    I don't believe it's possible. That's one of the reasons they made these changes so they had control over where visitors to your page are taken. I think too many people were abusing the default landing page tab setting.
