In need of advice, I am in serious doubts

I am planing to launch a membership site, with a unike idea.
Apart from managing the list of members, I need a reffering managment system
and Lottery system.
I waver between a WP based site or a standart HTML site with the appropriate script.
What you veteran warriors offer? On which system to go?

Thank you in advance,

Ben

I use Wordpress, but it depends. If you need some really fancy custom coding, you might want to use a custom script instead.

I always suggest WP for people with a limited knowledge of html and a custom script if you have the skills. It's always better to be able to do things your way if possible, IMO.

Membersgear is free. Loaded with features. No lottery. Can have affiliates in conjunction with PayGear. The WP Plugin I believe is $29.95 So you can use it either or.

optimize press is just as good for membership sites, its very simple to use and if your not so good at html it's simple copy and paste... with a few clicks of the mouse your membership site can be set up nicely and professionally.

otherwise wordpress is just as good

Go with wordpress. It is the easiest if you are not sure about coding. I use wishlistmember on some of my sites. (Not free)
