Is There a Wordpress Plugin That Does This?

Hey Warriors, I have a quick question...

I'm creating a new product that has multiple ebooks to it (like around 8 of them).

In my sales letter, I'm looking to create a link for each ebook where something like a shadowbox will open up for it with more info on that particular guide. It will consist of text and images. Then they can simply click out of that box when they are done reading it and continue to scroll down.

Is there a plugin that does this? I know there are shadowbox plugins for images only. But what about images and text?

The reason I want to use this feature for each ebook is to help reduce the overall length of the sales letter. At least, I want to see how it may look.

Ideas?

    Hey Dayne,

I found this one a while ago: WordPress › Onclick Popup « WordPress Plugins

Its not exactly a shadow box, but does show text. Not sure if it shows images as well.

And not sure how much text can actually be inserted into it.

You probably don't want to, but why not just place the text under the heading.

You know what I mean? Like, the name of the particular ebook then what it contains.

This way you kinda' "force" the reader to read about it - this way they might see something they like and buy. Other than if they were to miss a ebook by accident and decide its not for them.

I don't rwally mean force as it doesn't force them but if the text is in front of them, they will probably read it.

    Hi Dayne,

Show me an screenshot of what you're trying to achieve (if you can find something similar), and hit me up via PM with the 'rules'.

I'll see what I can do.

    Cheers,
    Steve

Hey Steve, basically what I want to do is be able to create a hyperlink that say something like, Click Here For More Info. Then when they click it, a larger pop-up shadowbox will open with more information that contains text, images, etc. I would like to be able to customize it with HTML.

Does that make sense. I have yet to find anything that does this.

PM sent to you Steven as well

HTML/script-wise, yes. It can be done.

Marketing-wise? You need to think it over and test it thoroughly: the more distractions (popup gizmos) for the potential buyer... the less chances they would buy. Just my suspicion
