Default RSSBot Users...

Have you noticed you can not select a category for your feed when adding one in the software?

Perhaps this is not a problem, but upon manually checking out some of the aggregator services that RSSBot uses there are ones that ask you to select a Category for your feed.

What's even more odd is the manual for RSSBot talks about clicking on the "Category" tab to select one for your feed when adding it...but I see no "Category" feed when adding one to RSSBot...

Anyone else notice this or am I missing something here?

What's your purpose for posting this thread?

Why don't you contact Big Mike direct?

You're right John, God forbid the rest of us should learn something.

Actually, I've been eMailing Big Mike about many different things lately.

You're right - he is very approachable and his customer service has been great!

I've been eMailing him SO much lately, actually, that I have a few eMails that he still hasn't gotten around to replying to yet. I feel like I've been swamping him with questions already.

My purpose for posing this thread, then, is three things:

1.) To give Big Mike a little break from all my questions for 24 hours!

2.) To get an insight from other users of the program based on their first-hand experience(s). (The forum link for the product line is unfortunately down).

3.) To help others out with this cool piece of software so they don't have to eMail Big Mike and bug him about the same concern!

Hi Emmanuel,

The category bit came from the first beta of RSSBot and was subsequently removed. Unfortunately, a certain boneheaded Greek we all know, neglected to remove it from the help file.

It's been removed from the new help file, which I happen to be working on at the moment, to work through the new features we've added. I'll be releasing a free upgrade to RSSBot shortly - I'm still doing some final testing and tweaking.

One last thing - it's probably not a good idea to post here in the WF with questions about the programs, as it's not a support or discussion forum for our products. The best thing to do is email me direct - and I have answered all your emails this morning.

The boneheaded Greek is me for not being patient enough to wait for you to reply to my gazillion eMails!
