Question for an Expert .......

Hey guys,

I have a question about the search engine ranking for my website (called Make Money Wizz, the link is in my signature) ......

When I first made the site, if you searched "make money wizz" on Google, my website would show up as number 1. Since I first launched the site a month ago, I have been spending 2-3 hours a day working on the SEO for my site by creating backlinks (creating smaller web2.0 sites, posting/commenting on forums and blogs, etc). Now, when you make the same search on Google, my website is nowhere to be found, for no apparent reason. I know that my site did not get blacklisted, because if you search "makemoneywizz.com", I still show up as number 1.

My question is; what is the reason(s) for this drop off the search engine results page? I'm very confused and frustrated that putting in numerous hours of backlink creating has not only had no effect on my ranking, but actually made it WORSE.

Does anyone have any ideas why this could be?

  • There are many reasons. Check this link out, its all the people who you share your hosting with. If they get blacklisted, so do you! If youre serious about your site, don't use shared hosting!

      WOW, Really??

I did not know that. So basically if I am going to get serious with a site I will not be able to use GoDaddy for hosting?

Also, if that is true, what are some ways that I can host my site without shared hosting?

When I search in google for the phrase you are worried about, you show up as #4. You could be going through the google dance.

But rest assured, in my Google results, you are 4.

sounds like a google dance, unless you were using networks like ALN or BMR which were de indexed, this could mean some of your links are no longer live.

Could be many many reasons, my guess is that you have been using a private blog network that Google has recently deindexed, such as BMR?

I think the same. From description that he gave it's the most suitable reason.
