Distribute Articles Widely

Hi Folks, a question, I am looking to drive traffic to my site, with that in mind, I need to get some visibility on the internet through article submission. There seem to be two routes and my first question is, are they mutually exclusive.

1st question, do you require unique content for each of the big article directories, my time is finite and writing articles, or even subcontracting still takes time out of my day while I would like to focus on my own site:

The big article directories like ehow.com, EzineArticles.com and so on require unique content?

Am I to understand that it is good practice to have the same article appear in many places without spinning, (which I am not comfortable with presently), with a link back to your site.

2nd question, any views on bulk article submission, I am aware of isnare.com for example, suggestions on both questions would be appreciated.

Article directories don't require previously unpublished content (and it would make no sense at all to submit it to them).

Explained in much more detail in this post: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post5068872

Ehow is not an article directory.

Ezine Articles is an article directory, and therefore does not require previously unpublished content.

It depends what you mean by "good practice".

It's how all the successful article marketers here are making a living, but those "places" are not article directories: they're relevant websites (and ezines) with already-targeted traffic.

An article directory is simply a stepping-stone to those places, and a bit of an afterthought, in syndication-terms: it represents a chance for "passive syndication" only. This can be very good and very helpful, but it doesn't compare with "active syndication" at all.

There's no point at all in trying to use article directories for their own traffic and/or their own backlinks. That isn't what they've ever been there for, and it's not a function they can now fulfil to any extent worth talking about. Again, explained here.

A complete waste of time based on a fundamental misunderstanding about what "article marketing" is, how it works, and the purpose and function of article submission sites. Have absolutely nothing to do with it at all. Again, that's explained in much more detail in some of the references listed toward the end of this post.

You're definitely right not to want to spin your articles, for all the reasons referenced here: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post5864997
