Your Most Effective Technique Of Promoting Non-IM Products?

Hey guys,

I just created a niche site selling a non-IM/MMO product; it is in a niche with 2 or so competitors and gets decent search traffic.

Now before I go too far off topic, what has been the most effective means of traffic generation for those of you that have promoted products like this?
Article directories? Which?
Web 2.0 properties? Which
Video marketing?
JVs with those who have similar lists? Where do you find them?

    I'd say go with the joint venture approach in a way where they'll end up building up a profitable traffic funnel for you. In other words, build a list using your joint venture partners.

    In order to build a paid customer list, you may well have to give something away. One of the best ways to build a paid customer list is to offer a product that is relatively inexpensive... say one that will sell for $9.95 or even $19.95... to Joint Venture partners and allow them to keep all of the profits from the sale. Give them 100% of the profit... the whole $9.95 or $19.95 that the product sells for.

    This model has made many people millions online.

      You don't say what your non-IM products are, but I sell non-IM physical products; my husband and I both do, and I'd say in addition to a few solid SEO articles, video has been the best help for us.

      I've turned our articles into video plus we recently launched two videos as a sort of "show and tell" about our products and it's really helped to drive business.

      Be sure to post your new videos to your Facebook pages as well and open a Pinterest account. Also, be sure to have a "Pin" button on your website too so other people can share your site with their Pinterest pals.

      So while article marketing is absolutely not dead, because I still do that, I use YouTube and video marketing A LOT now and it's really been a great way to market.
