I think I have an idea how to get PR9.
Here is page rank table

So to get page rank 9 you need 19 links from any PR9 sites. you find crappy sites with PR9 put your backlink there. You are winner. I just put my backlink to that site. Need to find another 18.

If this is true, it is very easy for someone, who have many good PR sites, to "produce" other good PR sites and sell them.

After selling, he simply remove the backlinks form his sites and "produce" an other site, with high PR, ready to be sold.

I got It Loud and clear!!!

Basically a website has to do a redirect from their header to a PR9 website like google or facebook.
Google will think that your website is actually a redirect domain to the PR9 website and will give you the PR. Once google updates, the website will get PR9 and will kepp PR9 until next google update!!!

I have the script but never tried it on personal domain..

Here is the catch, the domain is on ale at flippa.

damn, I'm pretty sure that guy on flippa is from my country.

btw, I doubt if the PR will last for long term. It is valid but when I check for backlinks via ahrefs, it shows zero.

It appears that it must have been associated or had a link from Fermilab | Home at some stage in the past. The home page of Fermilab is a PR9.

Whatever method has been used, you would have to be very foolish to buy it on Flippa for the asking price. The PR will evaporate at the next PR update.

The site was redirected to Fermilab and Google assigned Fermilab's PR to it. Just before the sale, they remove the redirection. PR is gone at the next update. Typical black hat way to screw people into buying high PR sites that are not really high PR sites.

Most certainly can. I did it accidentally and it was embarrassing. I redirected a domain to a page I was promoting as an affiliate with a PR 4. Google gave this PR 0 domain the PR 4 of the affiliate page. I put it up for sale and that's when I found out how that PR 4 happened. I apologized and closed the auction.

Type the domain name into Google. Google has indexed the site as the Fermilab site rather than the nothing site that actually exists.
