So you finally find your keyword niche... what's next?

Hey everyone,

I just have a question... So once you have found your keyword niche and found a domain for it what is the next step in this process? I'm huge on processes because I'm a business development type of guy so I'm trying to find out the basics first so that I can later scale it down and find a more efficient way.

I believe the next thing that should happen is to build unique articles and then drive traffic to my website.

Questions:
What are some article websites/services that you have used which is cheap but still great quality.

Do some people usually just use article spinners to make out their information instead?

Driving traffic. Which communication method do you find best? I know it depends on the product/subject that you are targeting but what seems to be the most successful?

Thanks!

Great pdf! At first I thought you were trying to spam me haha, but gave it a good read and was waiting for my e-mail input and then it never came!

Very well organized and consolidated, will definitely store in my references.

It's time to start building that website.

Build a simple homepage with good solid info on your niche and stick an auto-responder on there to start building your list. This means, have a newsletter or an eBook to give away. The whole point of keeping your main page simple and clean is so that your visitors do not get confused or distracted by too many options. Really the main goal of your homepage should be to get people to sign up on your list.

Find keywords that go along with your main theme and build more pages with good content. Keep building the site by adding content at least weekly. This is one way to get yourself ranked in google.

For content, check out the public domain and usa.gov, you can also google free ebooks and free plr. Find good content there and rewrite it to make it your own.

        Good luck

After I've found my niche I whip out Dreamweaver or Wordpress and crank out a site. No spun content, just unique content. For traffic I do SEO so I start to build backlinks next.

    depends on the strategy.
I'd put a site up, put up advertising, affiliate links, start writing articles, back linking...

You think well and seem to be moving in the right direction.
You can try these article services, I have used with good results:

iWriter : Article Writing Service | Get Content For Your Website, Cheap!
    Unique content - Textbroker.com

You can always check freelance websites for article writers, also.

Do some people usually just use article spinners to make out their information instead?
Many people do that, of course, but it is getting less and less effective
and is not recommended lately. Unique and quality content is the way to go.

  • The next step is to set-up your website. I use Wordpress. If you do not know how to do that then go to YouTube and there are a ton of helpful videos on how to set up your wordpress blog. The next thing I would do is find me about 10 to 15 good long-tail keywords related to my niche and create articles using those keywords. I do not use spun content. I personally believe that unique, quality content is the way to go. The better the quality it is then the more likely you will build trust with the reader. Also, Google will love it. I then use SEO for traffic.
    Hope this helps!

How many keywords are we talking about here? Who are your top 3 competitors? What's the strategy and business plan that's behind this keyword(s)? What's the monetization model?

You need to set up your website on wordpress after you bought your domain. Go to themeforest to find some great, premium themes. Don't settle for anything cheap if you want to stand out from your competition. Web design is important I think. Once your design is placed on your site, start writing your unique articles. After writing 10 or more articles start promoting your site. You can try article and video marketing. Video marketing is effective. You can also try social media networking, like Twitter. Keep updating your site and constantly promote your website daily for results.

I heard that its better to add your ads only in the end of the process, after you build the site, add the content, and a sitemap and get some links, only then you should ad the ads to your site.
Never tried it but i am going to make 2 new sites next weeks and i will try.

Build a quality content first, then market your site. Remember, you gotta impress people to make sure they return!

Would it be better to create a web-site straight from coding or just use word press and have a blog site instead?

I mean I seen some blogs for selling some products but it's a blog . Where as web-site that is straight up html coding or using some software has it's advantages because it's a web-site. I hope people understand my question.

    Hi bransun,

    1) I'd suggest to hire a good quality article writer either here in the WF Warriors for hire section, odesk.com, or even iwriter.com

    2) Then for your traffic generation, I would definitely suggest some free methods first if you're on a budget. Like: YouTube videos, Forum/blog posts related to your niche, twitter, FB fanpage, stumbleupon, and more social networks to begin building a RELATIONSHIP with fellow prospects first.

    3) Create and email a subscription option on you're site - give away free value (PDF, videos, etc), then offer you're product or service after that process.

Focus on relationship building and it will reward you (and them) in the long-run!

Like a lot of other posters mentioned already, the next step is to build the website. In a nutshell:

    1) Pick a domain name
    2) Get hosting for your site
    3) Install wordpress
    4) Build Website
