This is good news for those of us who are tired of seeing pirated videos on youtube, it's a major victory for us IP rights holders:

    Let me look into my crystal ball to see where this is all heading... everyone policing everyone. And of course, in the business world, everyone sabotaging everyone else.
    Google should just buy Viacom and get it over with.

      This is horrible, you guys don't know what you're cheering on, and in 10 years when we 0 freedoms left online, then maybe you'll understand. And Viacom is worth over 22 billion so Google would have to digg deep if they wanted to buy them.

        Copyright infringement is not a freedom that we've ever had. It would be a different story perhaps if you owned the copyright to stolen materials.

    Its a bit ironic how Google are quick to act against those who operate outside their terms and conditions (Build My Rank, Linkvana, ALN etc) and yet, Youtube continues to operate with an absolute boatload of obviously copyrighted material.
