Multiple g-mail addresses

I saw a method od using one G-mail address and adding something to it prior to the '@' sign so that you can use one G-mail account to receive multiple email addresses.

I don't remember how it was formatted though. Can someone help remind me what it was. I don't remember if you added '+1' and on up or what it was.

Can someone please help?

Also noticed that many websites will still accept @googlemail.com and @gmail.com as two seperate e-mail addresses even though they are the same effectively.

So you could have BillGranger1@gmail.com and BillGranger1@googlemail.com

That is the one I had seen before.

Thanks to all that contributed. I didn't know about the others, but now I have many ways to do it.
