Warrior Forum Is The New ClickBank??

Hi Guys (and gals),

Is it only me or does some of you feel that the warrior forum is slowly evolving to be like clickbank?

I mean, I used to get clickbank offers from marketers about "how to make money online" all the time and I am certainly glad to learn some of them as they really start me off in the internet marketing world.

I know some of those offer can go pretty high and eventually when I came across the warrior forum it was a breath of fresh air as I thought I found a place where like minded people care about helping others by sharing some of the things that work for them. I mean suddenly I am able to get great training at $7, $17, $27!! compare to $47, $67, $97 and even $197 over at clickbank.

Then things became a bit hazy as the WSOs are increasing in price. $27 >> $37.35 >> $48.13>> $97 and more!!

I suddenly caught myself asking this question: What is a WSO? Warrior SPECIAL Offer?

Haha frankly speaking, I don't feel really special to be marketed for a $97 product like in the old "send them to clickbank and I will make lots of $$$" days. I know one can argue that Special can be in the form that the WSO is only available in the Warrior forum. But hey, it seems to me that the money hunger mentally is shifting from clickbank and starting to poison the warrior forum.

As a marketer I know damn well that being marketed to is a common thing. In fact it is good as I can learn how other marketers are doing. I just find that the WSOs are evolving to similar to how clickbank was and it is making me feel a little uneasy. I know there are newbies wanting to learn and financial is sometime a big issue for starters (like I was). It was a big thing for me to learn great stuff and techniques from people in this forum (even though I don't comment much) so I always recommend newbies to head to this forum to learn the best stuff. Now it seems that a part of that is changing...

Maybe it's just me, but the warrior forum holds a very special place for me as this was the site that I felt that I am truly blessed to be assist by so many people with real good intention to help others and not just make a hefty profit.

I would love to hear what you think about it

Well I always thought that the wso's were extremely low priced due to which people assumed that the products won't be great quality.

Maybe that is what some would think as well. Personally back then when I was dead broke, it was more enticing to get a $7 course that would make me hundreds a month rather then a $97 course that promises tens of $1000 a month. I am more realistic due to my financial situation then. I had the mentally that I can afford to make one or two bad purchases and still find a golden nugget with cheap WSOs compare to a $97 course that literally make or break me back then.

Clickbank offers darn near every category under the sun. You have to have WSOs related to internet marketing. /capt. obvious

    Plus, Clickbank is more widespread.

Yup I do agree that clickbank is more widespread. In the past, WSO focuses only on online means of making money. Nowadays they are including offline methods as well. Haha who knows, maybe in the future people might sell WSO of "how to remove acne" or "how to train your dog" in the misc segment!

Just a thought. Haha would be quite funny when that happens though I hope not. Let us keep this forum as one based on Internet marketing

I definitely see what you're saying, but I actually think they're still fairly different:

-Clickbank has tons of niches (as others have mentioned)
-Clickbank products tend to be higher priced ($47 is a LOT compared to most other WSO prices)
-Clickbank IM products, IMO, are more targetted to the complete newbie

But yeah- the WSO section has certainly exploded over the last few years.

      Hey Justin,

Ya I am aware that majority of clickbank's IM product range is higher then most WSO here. I agree that CB have more product range, guess I should be more specific that the IM products' price range between CB and WSO are slowing converging to become more similar.

Very true on how CB products tend to target complete newbies. Guess the price of learning has gone up for veteran as well.

Perceived Value or not, I do not think WF is even close to becoming the new CB...

i think the reason for the increasing price is due to the fact that the higher the price of a product, the more valuable people think they are.

Well, they are IM-based products. Some may not be the Xs and Os of how to make money, but they're can't be products about how to go from couch-to-marathon in six months.

Price increases are a good thing for everybody, if the product is high quality.

The seller makes more money (obviously), it forces the buyer to become more selective about which offers they purchase, which forces the sellers to create better products.

Or maybe sellers realized that you don't get rich by selling $7 WSOs, unless you've got a really strong backend in place.

Glad that you point this out Mick. Maybe that was what happened in clickbank. Haha if that were to happen here I wouldn't be suprised if there will be another forum sometime in the future that provides cheaper alternatives.
