The Best Way To Test An Affiliate Product?

I understand there are different ways to test an affiliate product. You could set up a blog and get some articles up and start to drive free traffic to it but the problem is you could be wasting time on creating all this content (setting up a domain, writing articles, setting up website etc.) for it to not be profitable. Time is money so I find driving paid traffic ppc to this offer is the best way to find if it converts well. You may have spent $500 on advertising and got back $450 which means you spent $50 to find if the offer is profitable which isn't bad and there is probably room for tweaking. I'd like to here some incites from you warriors

Does google allow adwords that point directly to an affiliate link if it's another domain that automatically redirects?

How do YOU personally test using PPC?

Or are you just asking for others experiences?

Well, a very fast and easy way to find out if a product is doing good...simply ask your affiliate manager (if you are not working with clickbank). If you are working with clickbank, then you should use keywordspy to spy on your competitors ads to see their ROIs etc...
The fastest way to test the conversion rate of a offer is definitely PPC, but always make sure you put the price in the AD, that way you'll get very targeted traffic who are willing to pay money.

definitely great advice I appreciate it. I usually test my campaigns with a set budget around $500 if I can get at least 50% ($250) of my advertising costs in sales then I can definitely tweak my campaign and make it work.
