    How many people post on social media sites extolling the virtues of the plumber who just fixed their sink or the tow truck company that hauled their car? To me social media probably is worthless regarding local businesses.

    I think Facebook is a good place to advertise if you know your target niche but not so great for friends telling friends about their new lawn chairs.
