Random Thoughts On Success, Failure, And Persistence ...

I'm in a writing mood so I thought I'd share what I've been thinking about recently. (This is mostly raw and unedited so my apologies for any mistakes.)

For me to be successful building on Internet business you must be persistent. Because like anything worthwhile in life it takes time and effort. There are certain challenges to face, obstacles to overcome, and setbacks to learn from.

But isn't this what makes everything so exciting? For me there's nothing like having important and challenging pursuits to be working one.

As I like to say: "A man's strength is developed through many and great trials, tribulations, and challenges." You can be thankful, grateful, and enthusiastic that building an Internet business has certain challenges to face, obstacles to overcome, and setbacks to learn from.

Let's be honest life would be boring if everything was easy. You wouldn't really want to be wealthy over night because you would rob yourself of the satisfaction of knowing that you've worked hard for your success. There's nothing like enjoying a glass of wine in the evening after working hard and knowing that you're another step closer to financial freedom.

One of the most important challenges is overcoming fear of failure. Personally I don't believe in failure. Because I learn something of equal or greater importance every time I fail. Remember as Edison said: "I am not discourages because every attempt discarded is another step forward."

My younger Brother taught me: "There's no such thing as failure. Either you can your desired out come or you learn. Either way you win." And as the great Napoleon Hill said: "Every failure, adversity, and heartache carries with it the seed on an equivalent or greater benefit."

That's the most important, profound, and transformational concept I've ever discoursed. Understanding this is like having "The Key To The kingdom." You see with one turn of this key the doors of failure and setback swing open and reveal marvellous opportunities for learning and personal growth. You have my word that if you apply this concept to building a an Internet business you won't be disappointed.

All you have to do when you experience a setback, challenge, or failure is ask yourself: "What can I learn from this that will help me succeed? What's the seed of equivalent or greater benefit? What can I learn from this that will contribute to my personal development?" See, isn't this the kind of thing that puts a lively and passionate glimmer in your eyes? It definitely does for me because I love overcoming challenges and transforming failure into success.

Remember Napoleon Hill's quotation because it will serve you well for the rest of your life.

For me there's only one reason why people fail in business. And that's because they give up. Success is virtually guaranteed if you just keep going.

Keep taking action ...
Keep making those strides that will bring you closer and closer to success ...
Keep making "mistakes" and "failing" ...
Keep learning and improving ...
Learn from your "failures" and use them as fuel to ignite your passion and drive your forward towards your goals. We'll do well to remember the Japanese proverb: "Fall down 7 times, get up 8."

Because for me that's success: The enthusiasm, determination, tenacity, and bulldoggedness to keep going when other people decide to give up.

Another Edison favourite of mine is: "Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time." And try that one more time you must. You don't want to be one of those people who on the dawn of victory give up right before they're about to make an important breakthrough and start having more success.

There's no excuse for failing. You must take 100% responsibility. The only way you can fail is if you give up to soon. And the only thing you can blame is yourself.

So be persistent and learn from your mistakes, setbacks, and failures. If you do those 2 things your success is virtually guaranteed.

Good luck in your Internet Marketing journey.
