Ways To Build Instant Credibility

The fastest growing market is skeptics. That makes establishing credibility one of the biggest challenges among Internet Marketers.

Here's an interesting piece I ran across that's direct and to the point on how to build credibility. It's not the "end all or be all" but it's a good starting template. Here It Is

I couldn't start the video for some reason but I read the article below and it definitely has some valuable advice. It might seem like common sense but I think occasionally people need a little kick in the pants lol.

What is common sense to you or I is often not common sense to others. Everyone has a individual perspective and their pattern of thinking just might not have seen the same common sense as you.
The same goes for knowledge, while we undervalue our own knowledge, it can quite easily contain value to others who might not have walked the same path as you or I.
A person isn't stupid who doesn't know what I know, they are just intelligent in different areas and I might easily learn from them just as they learn from me.
This is where the sharing of intformation is of great value and why everyone should value the knowing that they hold within.
As to credibility, that also is highly perspective and someone who has high standing in my estimation might be seen as scum to others, just as I might be scum to some (sorry mum, I didn't mean you ).

The article is nothing spectacular if you are business wise and conscious.

I agree but business wise and conscious is a small club out of the whole. Not many have one ... much less both.

    #11 - Resource Box

Make your resource box sound credible also, instead of making it seem like a direct sales pitch to reach your website.

      Quoted from that page:
You make a interesting point, but I'm wondering if the bar is quietly being raised. The online market seems to only give you an instant to establish some form of credibility if not the prospect is gone. I know I am in most cases.

I agree with your basic point. Just like respect and trust, credibility takes time, in most cases - especially the deep seated kind.

But establishing some form of "instant credibility" as part of your first impression is getting more essential.

Why? Because most people won't give you much time (like they used to) if they don't immediately see some signs of credibility from the start.

      Right on, Mike.

I think the tips in this article can definitely boost credibility, but I think that most people trust slow, and distrust fast (when you do something wrong in their eyes).

Most marketing messages today, don't seem to reflect that most people trust slow and distrust fast.

For example, how many marketing messages do you see each day that have the words, fast, quicker, quick, fastest, faster, instant or elude to it.
Whether it's pizza delivery, car engines or relationships.

I'm of the baby boom generation, I'm guessing you are to. We've learned to value things like longevity, take it slow and easy, take your time, based on our experience.

The generations under us look for faster, instant, microwave products, solutions and service, because they grew up expecting it. They trust it more than the baby boom and above generations do.

Try telling generation Y, and especially X or Z to look for slow and gradual and ignore fast and their eyes will glaze over or roll in their heads. It's a hard sell for them. They not only expect quicker, faster and instant... they demand it. I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Link building procedures when adhered with perfection and precision can bring credibility to your website in a big way. Although link building is a slow process it is highly rewarding.

There were some very funny parts to this video, especially when the host asks Pauly if he's ever done something unethical.
