How did you figure out how to make money online?

I think many can agree that there are probably thousands of different methods and ways to make money online.

My question is, how exactly did you figure out how to make money online? Did you buy a WSO program and decide to follow it? Or did you just wake up and think "Hey, I wonder if this idea would make me money" etc. Or did you see somebody else making money and wanted to replicate their method?

I'm not asking anybody to reveal their exact money-making method or idea; just want to know how you came across it.

I tried and failed at all of the push button systems first. That lowered my expectations significantly. It also led me to start searching for ways to make anything online. I found a forum posting gig, and made my first few bucks with that. My performance as a poster led to my first article writing gig.

The rest, as they say, is history.

Lots of testing. My most profitable campaigns were completely original approaches that no one else was doing until it was copied from me.

I bugged a friend until he finally gave me some ideas. (This was a long time ago, before Internet marketing had lots of forums.)

    Now, people bug me.

(And I made my friend mad.) Lesson? Uhm, don't bug people.

Someone (I forget who, it was well over a decade ago), was selling online courses, and he was looking for people to create them.

So I created two courses for him, and they did very well.

Unfortunately, he was a slow payer. Finally I'd had enough. I withdrew my courses and sold them myself. In those days it was a little more challenging than it is now. Nowadays the tools are better.

I became interested in blogging before I created the courses, so once I was selling, I already had a couple of blogs on which to promote the material.

In those early years (1990s) I wasn't looking to make money online at all. I was writing business books and writing for magazines. This meant that there was no pressure. I was free to experiment.

Looking back, that was the key: the online world was pure relaxation for me (it still is). There was no pressure to perform.

If you're just starting out, I encourage you to experiment. Do stuff. You'll make mistakes. That's fine. Those mistakes are your route to success.

    Cheers

    Angela

One day it just clicks; if you can stick it out that long.

I mean, it does click but that doesn't mean you're raking in the thousands over night.

But you suddenly know what you need to do, how to do it and when to do it.

From there, you just need patience, perciverince and consistincy.

I figured out in college. I learn priced determined everything. I only stayed there for one semester. Then i dropped out and went full time while living at my sister's house in Georgia.

I tried so many different things. I started out writing articles online to make a living and I did well at it. It just wasn't doing it for me though and I wanted more. That's when I started working for someone that was in Internet Marketing and I learned so much from them that I started my own.
