is it only internet marketing list owners that are on safe-swaps or are there list owners in other niches as well?

ok. so how would you rate them. Do you really get quality and responsive leads from there

As far as the IM lists go, from what I am seeing, it is a fantastic resource! Sadly, when I had joined, there was not much to look forward to since I operated in another niche at that time - the place does have some awesome IMers though whose lists in the IM niche have been built over years.

Overall - a thumbs up from my end...

They are the premier league of Adswaps and Solo ads, for now anyway.

I've been a member for a few months now, and it's hit or miss for me so far. For the swaps, alot of people have garbage they are promoting...or they are offering "free videos" to subscribe or something like that and merely redirecting the lead to a clickbank offer after opting in. When you get a swap offer, you should optin to their list first to see what they do. For me, I don't want to send garbage to my lists so I'm very careful.

As far as buying solo ads, they are OK. I have one running right now actually, so far today I've had 73 clicks and 13 optins, which is absolutely terrible. I really don't think my offer is that bad, and not sure what kind of traffic this guy is sending me. According to safe-swaps it's legit traffic I am getting from his list, but I expect an absolute minimum of 25 optins from 73 clicks.

It's difficult to "test" your offer from safe-swaps IMO because you really don't know what kind of traffic you are getting.

Would love to hear from others who have used them.

It would be nice for people to have an alternative.
But I guess one man's bad traffic is another man's good traffic.

I don't know whether you have noticed with some of the squeeze pages for the swaps, but many of them are the same.

    As are the exit pops.

And I think that there has been a deterioration in the traffic that come from these site owners.

Now, I may be a little out of line here, but I've just shared a theory in a post on my blog about this.

I may get some stick for it but if so, at least it creates some discussion...

    Indeed.
You can only swap the same list of people, before it becomes unresponsive.
At some point most will eventually have a large portion of the same people.

My experience there has been mixed. So far I've only purchased solo ads, and I don't plan on getting into ad swaps as I like to have complete control over what I send my list. There are some solo ad vendors out there that have super responsive lists. I've made up to 150% of my investment on a solo ad from the upsell I use after a lead has opted in. However, on the exact same funnel I've had 0 sales from clicks coming from other solo ad vendors. The potential is definitely there though. Also, unless you are doing 300+ click solo ads, most of the solo ad vendors are booked for weeks in advance so you either have to be patient or go for the big clicks which will cost you more.

Be careful with ad swaps. If you have a low quality mailing, it puts off your subscribers, and they unsubscribe.

Worse, if the words used in the partner's mailing contains too much spam words, aweber hates it. I know, cos they banned my account.
