I generally only buy banner ads on higley targeted niche specific sites. I generally buy directly from the site under and usually I initiated the purchase.

Mibbi and funklicks are good places, I have bought traffic from both of them with sucess. It is good traffic, however with adsense earnings so low now, I was trying to get under 1 cent per click for the time being to be able to try to break even.

try sitescout - I'm seeing better click through rates than buysellads

it seems that lot of the sites on buysellads were made just for that very specific reason and I sometimes doubt the traffic quality (seeing the poor click through rates across all types of banners I tried).

If you are using Google content network, can you advertise affiliate sites? I think Google has strict rules in place for that. However, I don't know if the rules apply to content network as well or only on the search network.

As others have mentioned you may want to look into BuySellAds as well as contacting other blog owners in your niche that have high traffic on their sites. Most sites offer a contact button or an advertise section.

Like majority, I would say BuySellAds.

I have used it once in health niche, however I don't get the result that I'm hoping for.

Since you host your banner in other people's website, you cannot directly control them. You can't A/B split them.

So, better to ask people with more experience before you start using buysellads.

Search via Google is best way to find a network for banner ads, I would suggest with forums where banner ads are low rates than trying networks which they are offering high price and no more good result you will...

If you're going to buy banners and are not using an ad server, it's best to start in places like BuySellAds so you can use their technology (for free) to rotate creatives and optimize your placement.

Once you get good at that, then it's time to go direct and if you're serious - you will want an adserver like what SiteScout offers.

You basically create campaigns and give the site owner a snippet of code, then you can rotate creatives from your ad server account.

It can be a bit costly but the money saved by not flying blind will far outweigh the cost of using an adserver.

Someone mentioned Google. They are great, but only if what you're pushing is acceptable and doesn't get your account suspended.

Yes, I'd go for BuySellAds too. If you don't get your website accepted there, you may want to try and sell banner space on your website direclty. See also my other posts on this forum. I can mention two ad serving programs if you're interested.

First of all, there is AdGlare (https://www.adglare.com) that offers basic ad serving possibilities and it's free up to a certain number of impressions per month. Also, you may want to look at AdPeeps (Ad Peeps) which offers a PayPal checkout feature, so your advertisers can buy ads directly from your website. If I was a marketing looking to buy banner ads..

I would funnel hack a high converting funnel, and find out what traffic sources are converting for them,

Wow, this thread is a little old but here goes.

If you do a search for a competitive keyword on Google, the first page or so gives the websites there a lot of traffic. So if you go into these websites, some of them allow banner or text ads for a monthly fee. This can get you consistent flow of new visitors per day.

buysellads are a great place to place banners, just track everything. Also I recommend adding the alexa extension so that you can see the ranking of blogs and website... add it to your routine to find a few a day in your niche and contact the owner and work a deal out. Some have great blogs and don't see the value they have to offer and are willing let you place banners at low prices. A great way to discover more exclusive traffic sources. You can also see if they offer solo mailings.

Although brokers can make your life a bit easier but I would suggest having a look at individual websites for better targeting. The algorithms used by many of them are the same and not as efficient to target the best audience for specific needs. At least you can allocate a portion of your budget for some individual websites.

Another vote for BuySellAds, but Rickeydt gave you a good tip also.

You can use SemRush to check out serps for keywords that sites are ranking their pages for in your niche, and get a good idea about how much traffic they are getting from Google, then make a proposition. Some people will give you an ad spot really cheap.
