Unfortunately I don't know who author is. My Brother gave it to me on a slip of paper. I've tried searching online before and couldn't find anything. (If anyone knows please share.) I think it's probably one of the best quoations I've ever read.

From My late uncle Bob something he said to me many years ago when he was teaching me to oil paint:
