Default What's Your Favorite Quote?

Thought it might be kinda fun to start a thread like this. Sometimes a little inspiration or humor is all it takes to get our creative butts into gear. Quotes are also a great way to connect with your readers--whether you're writing a blog post, email message, ebook, or whatever.

So here's my first contribution which is dedicated to all the great Warriors who have helped me out these past few days:

Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little. -- Edmund Burke

Pass it on!

These are off the top of my head, so they may be paraphrased, but close.

Two runner's up...

3. Don't criticize what you can't understand - The Times They Are A Changin', Bob Dylan

2. I do not wish to achieve immortality through my works, I wish to achieve it by not dying. - Woody Allen

And my all time fave quote...

1. Truth is the sword of us all - Stiv Bator(s)

~Michael

p.s. Then again there are tons of DEVO lyrics that are hard to beat, but don'tget me started.

I use this in my email signature:

"Life is not a sprint, its a marathon. A bad start does not really matter too much"

Not sure if the below qualifies as a quote, but this really inspires me:

"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they’ve been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It’s an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It’s a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing"

of course, from the Adidas ad campaign!

Life is not a sprint, its a marathon. A bad start does not really matter too much

So in essense, that means if you don't have Christ Jesus in your life/heart, you simply

There are so many good quotes that have inspired me, a few have been quoted here (especially Winston Churchills but hey I am British even if I do live in California)

My favorite and most inspiring quote is the one in my Sig from Albert Einstein and he is also the source of some other favorites and many apply to Internet Marketing:

"Imagination is more important than knowledge."
"Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new."
"The hardest thing in the world to understand is the income tax."
"Weakness of attitude becomes weakness of character."
"The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing."

What can I say, the man was more than a scientific genius.

Anything the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve

A true soldier does not admit defeat before the battle- Helen Keller

It is better to say nothing and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt- ( I think that was Shakespeare)

Do not give me 100% of what 1 man can, give me 5% of what 100 men can do.

If you're going to be thinking anyway, you might as well think big. - The Donald
