Selling CPA offers on myspace, does it work with a targeted friend list?

I have a strong feeling that selling CPA offers, for a niche that does well on myspace, something 13-16 year olds like, etc, on myspace would be profitable. A freelancer that I found charges $100 to build a list of targeted friends. And maybe it could be done for $30.

Then by sending out either myspace bulletins or comments, on a CPA offer (between $3 and perhaps up to $18), while also alternating in content or blog articles on the niche topic, with the CPA offer, what do you think?

Let's say you have the list of 2000 friends and have a 1% conversion rate for a $5 CPA offer.
That is $100. But if you are sending them out once or twice a week, you may have a lower conversion rate, would you have to keep expanding your friend list? Would this only work once? It seems people are not going to want to keep signing up for things.

Would you be building the friend list once, ie 2000 friends, to try to sell them a CPA offer, maybe a free trial without a credit card, that is a $5 or $10 payout? For a $100 or $200 profit, at a 1% conversion rate? That really doesn't leave quite a profit, if you spent $30 or $100 to build the friend list. Could CPA offers work, on an ongoing basis with this list?

I'm not sure if this will work. Any suggestions?

Hey.. make sure to check Terms & Conditions of CPA company you work with. Many advertisers don't encourage to sell CPA offers in MYSPACE. Your account may get ban.

    Yes I have been checking.

I'm wondering if pursuing myspace friends is worth it!
