Pinterest oversaturated

When I expect to Pitnerest become oversaturated? I expect that it going to be really soon and that they going to put no-folow tag on all links. It's there any official inoformations about it?

That would be nice if they put no-follow tags on links and stripped out affiliate links. Then the people who really want to use Pinterest could start enjoying the site again without being subjected to the crapstream coming from the parasites. Oops, I mean "marketers."

I know, spammers really take the fun out of infringing on the content of people that create it!

Today I saw someone link to a Pinterest page thinking that was the actual source of the material.

I have a Pinterest account but i only use it for genuine reason.

    What spam are you getting?

I 'like' and 'repin' images as if it was my own personal account but i have my business account just for brand awareness.

    How can it be "over-saturated"?

    It is still fairly new...

Typically people who complain about something being "saturated" are people who don't have the gonads to compete to win.

I hope you didn't thinked on me bescause I just said that I'm a bit scared that pinterest can be "over used"... In this momment it is really great! I found out that today when someone pinged my img and that img with my url was pinged about 10 times more and I recived about 10 visits wich is really good for my site bescause it recive daily about 40-60 visits and today it will go probably over 70! Best thing is that users from pinterest are SOOO HQ! All visitors spent at least over 2 minuts!

IMO Pinterest is currently a huge spam target, but they'll filter the spam shortly. As for being over saturated, not a chance in my mind, it's just gotten a start. As with all social media those who use it to build a genuinely engaged following, find creative ways to use it, and respect the platform will reap the benefits of traffic and business.

I think they are going to start deleting accounts but my guess is they will still allow affiliate links.

You guys speculate WAYYYY to much. There is such thing as saturation but pinterest is only growing by large numbers daily , so put that into perceptive = NOT SATURATED

Pinterest is fast growing. I imagine there will be more and more people signing up. however you can decide who you want to follow and people decide if they want to follow you or not. Your fans repinning you is like the interest version of word of mouth.

Interesting perspective... However, I disagree with the OP.

NO-FOLLOW links might make Pinterest less SEO-Friendly, but that is totally separate from Affiliate Marketing on Pinterest... If you have eye-catching pinboards and your pictures happen to link to your affiliate link there is still tons of money to be made there.

Spamming by definition is unsolicited email, private messages, comments, etc. So posting pinboards with affiliate links in my opinion is not spam and the no-follow aspect doesn't really have that much of an effect since pinterest pages themselves show up on SE's and lots of the traffic comes from WITHIN Pinterest itself... People have to see your pictures, purposely click on them and then click through to the link if they so desire.

Then if they buy something, nobody forced them to do so, where's the harm?

    Best,
    Shane

I still think it's fairly new. I have only start seeing a couple of sites with pin buttons on them this week. It's going to explode further but just like Fb, there will be modifications to how people market. Trust that! *Pin ME*

OP means Pinterest a new social networking site which uses images.

Pinterest is getting saturated with affiliate marketers promoting products but on the other hand I have heard that Pinterest takes advantage of it by replacing affiliate links with their own.
