    I'm always getting mentioned on Twitter- stuff like "Top stories today via @Dan_Allard" and I'll click on the link and it's just a link I tweeted- it grabs the title & description and links to the article/story/whatever.

    The thing is this happens all the time. It's just spam IMO. Anyone can do it and it's so automated that I have a hard time believing you can make any money from it.

      Maybe... but it can be used for other stuff too, have a look at this lady:

        Looks the same as every other one. I've seen about 50 of these.

        It's kind of a good idea because if you get mentioned "Top story today via @YOU" then you'll be more likely to retweet it. So it has a viral effect.

        But WHY?? I don't get it? What the heck is the point? Are these people trying to make money? Or just trying to curate the info so they can navigate through their favorite sites better? That makes sense but as a tool for making money online I don't see the value.

        Would like to hear from someone who disagrees- so many people use the site there has to be something they're getting out of it.
