How To Get Affiliates On First Information Product Launch

I've finished my first informational product and right now I'm in the process of getting the sales page completed and now I'm trying to get affiliates for the product. My target goal is to get 20 affiliates by launch which is May 9th. I've created a email template that I would use to send to some potential affiliates that I don't know personally. I do have about five of my close IM friends that will promote but how do you get others?

Yes, I will be offering the product for free to these potential affiliates to see & test if they would be interested but are their any other ideas to really get affiliates for your first product or is it more possible to do something like this after your first info product goes live and the customers off of your first product then become affiliates?

The product I've created is an guide that discusses internet affiliate marketing and the fundamental skills that anyone should focus on to become successful online. I go into different strategies that I've used and then I have an upsell product which goes into how to drive more traffic to your website and how to build a profitable email list. The initial product will be priced at $7 with an upsell of $17. I will be running both a WSO and a non WSO at the same time.

Any thoughts on how to do this?

Make review tester of your product, maybe the reviewers have some info or join to be your affiliates.

    How about this:

    1) Go to your email inbox and pull out all the emails for products you've bought so far related to IM. Make a note of the email addresses, the senders' names and the product you purchased

    2) Send everyone of those vendors a personal email saying how great their product was and how it has helped motivate you to get started in making your own product.

    3) Tell them what you have planned and ask for their help/ideas. See if they will give you a review/testimonial. Offer to send them a free review copy. They may even mention it to their list.

If you're nice to people then nice people will want to help you out. You only have to read some of the posts from warriors seeking to give back to those with less experience and loads of questions.

Exactly, I'd say offer some review copies in forums like the WarriorForum, make sure to label or mark your product so everyone knows is a review copy, you can attach a guide that explains briefly the benefits of becoming an affiliate as well as the tools and resources you provide. I remember I did that when I first started about 2 years ago.

    Hi, Justice

Just keep in mind that your "WSO" and your "non-wso" can't be priced the same. The WSO has to be a cheaper price than you advertise it anywhere else.
Also keep in mind that you will probably have to give up most of your earnings just to get affiliates on board at those prices.

    Best of luck,
    Robert

    Recruit affiliates from your
own list and send them updates,
    "done-for-you" tools like emails.

    Build momentum with them and
    optionally set price increase and
    write emails for your affiliates
to send at specific intervals with
price increase already kept in the
    mind of the sender.

      Hey buddy,

You could always jump on to warriorjv that is run by Kenster. Lots of opportunity in there to get affiliates on board

WarriorJV.com is my site and it's a fantastic way to pick up affiliates but reach out to me if you wish to join and you haven't run any WSOs before. I don't let just anybody join

So uh ... you've created an information product about affiliate marketing and you're asking how to get affiliates. Hmm.

I hope I'm correct in assuming that your product discusses affiliate marketing from the perspective of being an affiliate for someone else rather than from the vendor's perspective.

So yeah, email the people you hope will promote it, but make it personal. Tell them why you'd like them to promote it (because of something you admire/value about them), offer them an above average commission and a review copy.

You could join a JV directory and post it there as well, but since you haven't made acquaintances there you might not draw a lot of interest.

When you start making sales offer each of your buyers a chance to promote it and earn their money back. That is why they'd buy it right, to learn how to be affiliate marketers. So you have highly targeted buyers looking for training. You might be able to use that to your advantage.

That's off the top of my sleepy head, and I'm off to bed.
