Help! How to automate physical product fulfillment?

You'd think there'd be a huge demand for this service, and lots of options...
  1. I upload pdfs and audio files to fulfillment company's website
  2. Customer buys CDs and binder home study kit at my site
  3. My site emails the details to the fulfillment company automatically
  4. The company creates and packages CDs and binder, and posts them to the customer...
  5. ...and sends me a bill
Is there anywhere that does all this, without a minimum order?

    Hi Hilary

    Are you asking for someone to write a program that will automatically email the the fulfilment company when payment is taken on your site, as well as undertaking the fulfilment process? Or are you just asking for someone to handle the fulfilment process (and you'll handle how the notification gets to them)?

    Either way, I may be able to help you find a solution. I've got a few ideas. I'll PM you my contact details and we can have a chat - I need to know a bit more really.

    I'd assumed I would get the good people at Amember to ensure my installation could email or otherwise submit data to the fulfillment company (I dare say 'otherwise' would be more reliable) - but I'm not fussy about who does this! It's the business of getting someone to put CDs and binder in one package, and accept notifications automatically, that seems trickier.

    Going to check private messages now. (And still wondering - is there a firm that already does this, just like Kunaki do for CDs?)

    I don't think 1shoppingcart actually create and deliver physical products, do they?

    Two I've heard of here that sound promising: DVD On Demand - CD On Demand, DVD Duplication, Short run CD, DVD Production, CD Packaging, Blu-Ray Replication and CD Duplication, CD DVD Replication and DVD Duplication Services . Neither of them actually puts prices on their sites, though, which I generally take as a sign that someone is way out of my league, price-wise.

    No they don't create and deliver a product but their system integrates with what you need (if I read your post correctly). They help you automate more of the hard labor you were referring to.

    Right - I see what you mean. I think the integration part should be OK if I can find a fufillment company willing to accept orders that way. Like I said, it's the complete service - turning my uploads into something posted to my customers - that's more elusive.

      Amazon's fullfillment centre does this. I am actually looking into this right now. As far as auto notification after a sale is made I'm not sure if the do that.

    I am actually looking into this right now.
    Great - let's compare notes on what we discover.

    Amazon's fulfillment service - is that www.createspace.com? Will they send CDs and printed material in a single package?

    One of my main concerns is that I get the customer list, so I can follow up. Some solutions require you to send people to buy on the provider's site, hence you never know the customer's contact details.

      Hi, Amazon is good. Also take a look at: www. efulfillmentservice . com. I think they offer almost all of what you are looking for. No clue on their pricing.

    I know about those two, thanks. I need one that will package CDs and printed materials up together - lulu will only do them separately, and kunaki don't do print at all.
