For How Long Are You Online Everyday?

Lately I have found myself doing 6 to 8 hours with more than half of my stuff being outsourced. It's maybe because I am focused on one particular project and so motivated.

Delegating your tasks works ok but not as expected,I suppose.
the nature of an online business perhaps.

So basically I get my stuff outsourced, but then I spend hours re-doing almost half
Of the work. Depending on the task Offcourse.

Anyway, interested to know how others are doing, time spent?

4-5 hours a day. I have a family and they need love. I just complete a lot in that amount of time. If your online for more than 5 hours a day then you are at full time status in effort.

Easily up to 10 hours per day. Not all of it on my business though. There is always a tab opened up here, and once I complete my to do list I step away from my business. I'm too young to let it consume me.

I usually work around 8 hours. Sometimes 10-12 hours but only when there's a load of work to be managed.

    Breakdown:
    2 hours - Managing/proofreading/finalizing client's work
3 hours - Managing own work (web design)
2 hours - Content writing (research included)
1-2 hours - Research & Updates (Keyword research for new projects, reading blog posts on SEO, Social Networking and etc.)

I ain't gonna be like some of the others and come on here saying I spend sooooo many hours a day on the computer in the hopes that everyone will think I'm a real workaholic. BS.......

I personally spend about 3-4 hours a day WORKING online.

If you plan your tasks, set about them in a proper fashion and keep going, without getting distracted, until you have them done 3-4 hours a day is more than enough.

Work smart, don't pretend to work hard :p

Sounds like I need to speak to you - I also want to be an honest, ethical IM! I also run a not-for-profit, which helps ethical businesses show their customers where their money goes when they buy things from them. My idea is to make enough money through IM to pay my bills etc, so I can focus the largest part of my energy on my business (PricePie « A fair and ethical price for all).

As I'm new to IM, and still setting stuff up, I am solidly working for about 10 hours a day at the moment. I always squeeze in a run in the beautiful South Downs near my house though!

Wow - when it gets into double digits that's not healthy? I would't want to do that for too long!! I internet market as a means to get a better work/life balance and always have to remind myself that! There is no point in sitting in font of a computer screen for such a long time - I personally could't be productive for that amount of time. I recently bought myself a timer and place it next to my screen and give myself 1 hour of 'extreme production' where all distractions are removed including phone and email! It works - give it a try!

There are some pretty interesting numbers here!

I've also spent up to 16 hours in one day on my laptop. Not everyday, but I've done it before. I now do my best to be as productive as possible with 3-5 hours, and make time for family and friends also. We've got to enjoy life too!
