Is it possible to move from one hosting site to another?

Right now I have a shopify store. It was kind of a novice mistake on my part, they are expensive ($30/month+2% off the top), their templates are programmed in their own language called liquid (finding programmers for it is annoying+expensive), etc etc.

So I am wondering:
1. Is it possible to move my site to a new cart or would I have to reprogram from scratch due to the language issue (shopify is programmed in liquid)?

2. Any reccommendations for carts (I don't program or design so I mainly hire to get that stuff done)?

3. How hard/expensive do you think this would be?
-URL would be the same
-Need to transfer: fufillment services, merchant processing, all website stuff (vids, pics, layout, etc)

    Well, I'll preface this and say that I've never heard of Shopify, so I'm just going to give you some general advice for your problems.

    I use HostGator for my host, and if I need to transfer a WordPress installation, I just submit a trouble ticket and they take care of it for me. It might take a day or so to get it done, but it ALWAYS works. I'm really hoping you took advantage of the WP tools menu in the admin screen and backed up your installation before you moved it....did you?

    I'm not familiar with Shopify either, but I think it depends whjat you want to do. If you want to keep your store, but transfer to a new host, I think you can do this - see
    Register domain - Shopify Wiki

    But if you want a new shop front, I suspect that it will not just be a straight transfer. Contact your new host & ask them.

    Unfortunately, I don't think you will be able to transfer your online store as easy as how we do with our blogs. It would have been easier if it was Magento-based. Yes, check with your prospective host how you can do the transfer without much hassle. good luck.
