Email That Made My Day...Share YOUR Success Stories

I don't know about everybody else, but I find that in this business, especially
if you're dealing with people in the make money online niche, you don't often
get to see the results of your hard work.

Well, just now I got an email that made my day.

A lady who I had been helping with her sales copy just wrote to tell me that
because of my suggestions, her conversion went from 0.2% to 2.85%.

I know it's not some astronomical figure, but it was still so nice to see that
at least somewhere in this world I made at least a shred of difference.

So come on, how about sharing your success stories of how you helped
others. I'm not talking about your personal conquest of making gazillions of
dollars online. I'm talking about how you REALLY helped somebody else.

Cause let's face it...that's what it's REALLY all about.

    It may not seem like a HUGE deal but I have helped women that were struggling with hair growth issues grow their hair. Often times they send me thank you emails or send me thank you cards and run and spread the word.

    I have my days when I wonder (outside of the money) if it's really worth it...if I'm really leaving a mark, having a positive affect on people's lives...and then someone expresses their apprecitaion for how I've help them with an issue many are too embarrassed to address, and thats what pushes my "refresh" button and keeps me going.

    Several of my customers sent me thank you notes to tell me that they did a successful blog flip, or built a site that is making money. It is nice to get positive feedback. Mostly, you don't get any feedback and that is a drag IMO.

      Almost the same with me.

      From the Warrior forum itself; I've had a few people send me Thankyou emails when they made some money.

      Those words in their email are so inspiring, and touching.

    I helped a friend that had tried many different "work at home" options and just couldn't get anything going. He was fairly fluent with ebay, so I took some time to help him setup a drop shipping business. He now is maing about $2,000 a month and his wife doesn't have to work anymore.

    Steve - great topic.

    I got an email in November of 2008 from an insurance agent friend of mine. He was not doing to well to say the least. I had drafted a re-activation client letter for him.

    It took him like 2 months to get it approved by his insurance company, (crazy) but he finally mailed it out and the results have re-invigorated his business. He said he had never had a mailing produce anything close to the amount of responses and business he got. ....so I was happy for him.

    One day I received an email from a customer who bought my driving test eBook. The person thanked me for the eBook which helped him pass his test. Needless to say, this email made my day.

    Steven, actually that is an astronomical figure. It's a 1,425% increase in CR! That sounds pretty astronomical to me. Keep up the good work.

    It's not entirely IM, but a previous student of mine emailed me to tell me her GMAT Score after taking my company's class. (Your Personal GMAT Coach) She got a 710 (95% percentile for the GMAT). She worked hard, used our system to perfection, and got the results she wanted. Now she can get into any school in the country.

    It's a great feeling when I get to hear our student's stories and know we are helping them reach their dreams.

      This week has been an incredible one for me so far. I helped 2 sisters with their WordPress blogs and they both wrote me and thanked me profusely.
      It made me very happy that I was able to help them and both of their blogs are really cool so I'm hoping for great things to happen to them !

      Today someone purchased advertising on my site and paid me for the year. I didn't do anything, that person came to me, wrote me saying he was impressed with the way I am actually fussy about who advertises on my site.

      That was the easiest money I've ever made but here's the kicker: I told the guy "I hope you get many clicks and sales with your advertising campaign" and he wrote back saying "please email me when my link expires so that I can renew" !

      So as Steven W., and so many of my esteemed fellow Warriors know, if you focus on how to really help others succeed, and not on how much money you can make, then you do make money, almost like magic!

        I was really happy recently when I met up with someone off-line while in Singapore and he said that the advice I'd given him when we first met in the UK had ramped-up his business to the point where he'd now paid for his new house. He said he did exactly what I suggested and his results immediately improved dramatically and so he just kept my advice as the primary focus for his efforts and got great results.

        Since he didn't want to ask his girlfriend to marry him until he could provide a home for them, this also meant he's now engaged - which I really liked.

    Here's one message I got from a customer:

    "I used not to agree to some of the advice given to me by my boss and I realized that it was getting me no where. But now, she buys my ideas more than before.

    I have also trained myself to have a positive mindset. This has given me more self confidence and I no longer have the fear which I used to have. I'm more confident when talking to my colleagues and superiors.

    I could go on and on Michael, but let me say I will never be the old fearful, less confident and unattractive person I used to be."

    This made me smile from ear to ear.

      Excellent post! And kudos to you for helping that lady out with her conversion!

      I felt great when a lady approached me when I was working at Macy's in the men's fragrance dept. over the holiday season. We were talking and she discovered I build websites on the side.

      Now, I'm no expert but I'm not a beginner either. I charged her $350 for a 7 page site.

      This site is simple...no fancy graphics, no flash, nothing.

      But she loved it!

      Not only was the lady satisfied with the site and my service, she took me and my lady to Red Lobster (on her...yummy! free food is always good) and paid me for the site with a personal check.

      Here's the cool part...

      Then she gave me an extra $100 IN CASH!!!

      I asked why she was giving me the extra $100.

      She told me that she had been looking for a web designer for 1.5 years and she was contracted with 3 "professional" firms that took her money and didn't refund her when they couldn't deliver.

      No return phone calls...no emails...nothing.

      She told me that she lost about $2500 to big web firms and she felt I was undercharging her and overdelivering so she wanted to give me the money.

      At first I declined but after pressure from her I took it.

      That made my day and made me realize that customer service is KEY in ANY business you do whether it's online or offline! Customers like and respect you when they see you are taking care of them and have their best interest at heart!
