One month after starting my IM journey today I made my first sale! $19.79 in commission from clickbank.

It may not be much but it has proved to me it is absolutely possible to make money online.

Just wanted to say a quick thanks to anyone who contributes to this forum. This place is such a goldmine of knowledge for anyone starting out in the IM business.

I think it is great how a person with absolutely no knowledge whatsoever can start a thread here on WF and not get shot down by experienced marketers who have been in the game for years. No matter how ignorant or misguided a question may be, the more experienced people seem to share their knowledge and redirect misguided newbies in the right direction without being rude or condescending.

I think it's great that a place like this exists where people genuinely want to help others succeed.

      Following the advice from experienced warriors on this forum and putting it into action. I have to admit I feel like I got lucky because I shared one of my posts on Stumble Upon 4 days ago and it has had 45,000 views so far and those views have turned into 350 sign ups to my newsletter.

      A lot of people here on WF have stated that Stumble Upon views don't really count for much because people don't really hang around on your site for very long, but my analytics say they are staying for 1:30 min on average and they are visiting other pages while they are there.

      Visitors are also sharing this post on their facebook page and hitting the 'Like' and +1 buttons. The number of returning visitors is increasing everyday and absolutely none of my traffic is coming from google because I'm not ranking for any of my keywords. I typed my domain name into Google and only 7 of my pages have been indexed, 4 of which are just my privacy, home, about and terms and conditions pages.

      I have a self-improvement site where I write posts that try to solve a problem someone might be experiencing. Then offer an affiliate link at the end of the post which is related to what I'm talking about. Since I'm fairly new at this I am not sure that offering an affiliate link at the end of every post is the most effective strategy but people seem to be clicking the link to see what the product is all about.

      I write from personal experience so I think I'm able to connect with the people who are reading my articles.

      On Saturday I had 0 new visitors to my site so this massive jump in visitors and interaction is definitely motivation to keep trying.

    Welcome to the forum. It changes on a nearly monthly basis, and even from year to year you can see some stark differences. That said, you'll find that the through-line remains the same--trying to help people make money online.

    I agree that this place is a goldmine of information. You see so many people new in the field spending thousands of dollars on training manuals and tutorials, and you can't help but wonder why they do, since you can get just about any piece of information related to internet marketing right here on this forum.
