If you plan on launching lots of products learn to use Photoshop. I would rank this over buying software.

I would say take a little time to learn Photoshop and maybe After Effects if you are wanting to do the design yourself, they do not take long to learn the basics and there is many tutorial across the web which can help.

I use Sothink Logo Maker. It is simple. You can start from template or nothing. You have many shapes to use and some simple but effective effects. Try and feel yourself.

Thanks for all your comments. I will try photoshop since I have it already on my PC I am just super slow with it.

I have found some online tutorials for vector logo design so will give it a go.

Thanks again for all your advice.

Just my opinion, but while Photoshop is great, it does take some time to become proficient at it.

Really good professional logos and the skill to produce them do not come overnight. The little logo software apps I've tried in the past were pretty crummy.

Photoshop is not a program for logo design. Logos should always be designed in a vector based program such as Adobe Illustrator, Coreldraw, or even the free Inkscape. With a vector based logo you can enlarge it to any size for printing and never lose any quality, unlike a raster pixel based logo that just blurry as it's enlarged from it's original size. It's easy to convert a vector file to a raster image such as .jpg .png etc. but you can't simply convert a raster logo to a vector file without having to recreate the artwork in a vector based program.

Large format printing is my specialty so I'm used to printing logos that are measured in feet, or yards, not pixels

Photoshop is the current leader in design software, aswell as All of Adobe products, Ilustrator is specificaly for Vector art, which includes Logo designing althou logos can be made on photoshop.

For a free alternative try The GIMP (it) or inkscape.

hahahah I have no idea what the best logo creator is, but I find it funny that you asked for an alternative to photoshop, and yet, most people on this thread tell you to try photoshop. The reason I find this funny is because this is an internet marketing forum, and the number 1 key to success online is to... FIND OUT WHAT PEOPLE WANT, GO GET IT, & GIVE IT TO THEM. Epic fail to most marketers on this thread. Take note, stop trying to TELL people what they want, and START giving them what they ACTUALLY want.
