What's the product about? If it's IM related try getting a leader board position here on the Warrior Forum.

    yeah it's IM related.

I'm thinking with $1k I can run banners ads for a few days and spend the rest on solo ads?

Adwords bruh. I have tried 30+ PPC companies and all were nothing short of garbage. Microsoft Adcenter converts a few sales for us every blue moon. Research the hell out of keywords. Ideally find ones that relate to your niche, with low competition. This will in turn keep your cost per click down. Also, make sure your selected keyword get pretty heavy traffic (50k+ monthly searches minimum)

This should get you going,... if there is a need for your product.

    Cheers

Adwords is frowning on IM related products these days. I had one account shut down for it. If it's an IM related product, your best money spent would probably be solo ads.

Do some testing with a few vendors, then ramp up the ad spend with the vendors that convert into sales or leads the best. Be sure to use good tracking software so you know what's working.

1k is the perfect budget for a solid adwords campaign. Like David said, though, there may be a problem with IM products, so research that before you dive in.
Haven't used it for IM myself but I'm assuming, if you can get in some medium competition keywords, quite a few of them, you should be good to go. Those can get you some real good traffic.

Try buying banner ads at buysellads.com. They have thousands of blogs that already have regular traffic. Choose the ones that have massive traffic and try them for a month.

I have tried on weight loss niche and the responds is not bad.

Everyone want to try something different and cheaper and hope for similar results. The problem is the traffic either isn't there or the traffic that is there isn't very targeted. The best way to buy traffic is and in my opinion always has been to use adwords ppc. Try to find related keywords that get high traffic, but aren't as popular to get lower rates.

Test maximum percentage of your budget on Adwords & as Qamar have suggested - buying banner ads on few high traffic IM related blogs will also make you good sales.

Research heavily on the blogs you are choosing for putting ads using buysellads.com, sometimes we just fall for eye catchy rankings and sites are not that well targeted.

No other PPC has more potential than Adwords, just make sure you learn & adopt their landing page policies very well.

Do solos and banners, ppv. Stay away from ppc if you your product is IM related.

You should save that money and start a blog for free at Blogger. Then throw some adsense and clickbank products on there, and then start driving people to your blog. $1k wont get you far. $10k or $100k... that's a totally different story.

    Hey badboy73,

If you've got $1,000 as advertising budget for IM
    related product/market, here's my recommendation:

    1. Solo ads
    2. Banner ads

More importantly is you must be able to track
the clicks - so you know how much you are
    making.

Otherwise, your $1,000 will pretty much be as
good as invested on the roll of a die in a casino.

I would purchase traffic from sources such as Forums, social media, and targeted areas. I have found this gives the best results.

PPC is ok but does not always give the best results for your money.
