Do I need to just be Patient?

I've tried it all, and am completely convinced that you cant force traffic, it just has to come. The millions of little strategies have done absolutely nothing for me. I look at my annalysis for a year on blogspot, and it hasn't changed from its average 100 views a day. I post frequent, relevant content. I have every widget and gizmo placed strategically on the page. My CTR is non-existant even though I have blocked ads that don't target my audience, and have tried every possible layout. (my main blog is on its tenth layout)

I have signed up for blog carnivals, left links on forums, posted it to facebook, Pinterest, Tweeted it, Submitted it to Google, Bing, Yahoo, Stumble Upon, Reddit, ect.

I have created a Facebook fan page for it, have uploaded hundreds of pictures to imgur with a link to it, I've told people to google it on yahoo news comments, I've left the link in a thousand places and I watch as this has ZERO effect on my traffic.

I'm perplexed. I'm a very pragmatic person and I'm used to the laws of Cause and Effect, but they seem to not apply when it comes to what should be the simple task of drawing people to your website.

I could go outside and yell for people to come into my house and probably generate more traffic than I can on a network that connects billions of people.

Every "tip" I get is something I have already read. "Optimize your SEO," "Content is King," ect, ect. After a year with no profit at all, I am losing faith.

Do I just need to stick it out until Google decides to notice me? I feel like I'm flailing against a brick wall.

Thanks for any advice here..

Are you using analytics - or anything similiar - to monitor traffic?

Are you using a click tracking service for your links and such?

You really need to know your numbers.

But it sounds like you are just trying to force untargeted traffic to your site. Just by dumping the link anywhere and such.

What you have to do is pick two-three methods of traffic generation and focus on them.

    There are hundreds;
    Article Marketing
    PPC
    Forum Marketing
    SEO
    Joint Venturing
    Document Sharing Sites

Like I said, there are hundreds. Just be patient and consistent and people will come. Now, it is to your job to ensure that when they come they convert.
