Pinterest Members and What they Pin
Everyone knows that Pinterest is the new phenom in social media.
But you have to be careful what you are Pinning.
According to their terms of service:
"YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE ENTIRE RISK ARISING OUT OF YOUR ACCESS TO AND USE OF THE SITE, APPLICATION, SERVICES AND SITE CONTENT REMAINS WITH YOU."
When it comes to Facebook...they would get in trouble for such violation but this is not the case with Pinterest. You (the member) would be faced with the back lashing.
I am heavily involved in the racquetball scene. There was an incident of one marketer who used a photographers photo for a banner without consent and it was an ugly mess.
Even if you give credit to the photographer you still need written consent.
