Help - Expired Domain.. What next?

Hello,

I just thought of the idea of buying an expired domain.

The domain (PR3) would cost around 80USD. Then I'd need a hosting package of around 50/year
Its already got some decent Backlinks, mostly to the main page, so not much of the link juice would be lost.

Im planning to get a blogroll link to my other site, but I will need to sell links too.
People wont buy unless they find some content on the page.

Do I just goto spinning? Or ask for guest writing?

If I goto original content for 4USD/article, then total cost of this domain per year would be around 150, and still I guarantee its a PR3 after the next update

Any suggestions are really welcome

Thanks in advance (I aint pro by the way)

If you're buying it for the pagrank, I wouldn't do it. It is highly unlikely that it will keep it's pagerank by next update with different content and new owner.

Don't get wrapped up in PR if you are trying to rank the site. Worry more about the content behind the domain. I have a site that is PR 2 or 3 that constantly outranks PR 6 or 7 sites on the same title, so it is not the only factor. Build that quality content first.

Im buying it coz it got some backlinks within my niche (Forex), so general its got decent authority for the same niche
I think its better that I sell like 10 blogrolls on a monthly basis, to prevent pissing off buyers if PR drops later?
This could get me back my money shortly, maybe?

Buying it for existing backlinks can be a good move. You need to visit each of the backlinks to determine how solid they are. Pay little attention to the PR.

You also want to make sure that the domain has not been banned by any of the search engines.

MMMM PR3 at $80 - Its a Godo deal, I would have also bought it..

Nowadays, content matters.. I strongly suggest first you buy unlimited hosting so that you dont have to pay for hostings everytime when U buy a domain!!

Feed your website 2-5 articles every week till 4-6 weeks.

Ping those content 3-4 days after posting the content so that Google starts crawling your website.
Within 3-4 weeks you should again start traffic rolling in on your website.

    All the best!!

      Well,

I ping them instantly after publishing them, is that a problem? They get indexed within an hour afterwards.

About the comment saying to put them all on a single unlimited hosting, this is not possible, as this would result in deindexing all backlinks, as they will come from the exact same Class C IP, actually the same IP itself! Zero value
