What Do You Want As An Affiliate? I'm Going To Give It To You!

Hey guys,

I just created a fat loss product (see my sig.) and once I get the new design up for it and finish the rest of the "necessary" pages such as FAQ, Order page, etc....I'm going to start trying to get some affiliates for it.

But I have a question:

As an affiliate, what could I possibly do for you that would make you pick my product to promote more than other products?

I realize that conversion plays a big part and I'm going to be testing like a fanatic and constantly improving, but besides that.

Any specific types of "extra" offers I could give you (it's sold on Clickbank) that would make you pick my product over another fat loss product?

I'm not doing this to try and plug my product, I honestly want to know so I can give you guys what you want and start building a big affiliate army

Thanks in advance!

If it's converting and I'm making a profit, I'm happy. Big fan of residual income, so if you wanted to include a % of the monthly subscription in addition to a payout for the free trial signup, I (and I assume many other affiliates) would be a very happy camper.

      Thanks guys,

Yea I'm going to be building a membership site once I get it up and running and have some marketing going. Probably won't be done until around May/June though.

      So residual numbers - check

Thanks Millionaire - I'm gonna make the sales letter much better don't worry. I whipped that up very quickly just so it was live. The design is about 70% done right now so hopefully this week it'll be up and I'll do another edit of the sales letter. I have A LOT more bullets to write

Ok now how about an affiliate section? I'm going to do a separate affiliate section giving specific tips and I'm going to pretty much lay out exactly what I'm doing.

Anything special you'd like in there or would anybody else like to chime in?

I would pick your product if:

    1. I was fat

    2. You were an established expert in the field/had published studies/spoken at international conferences/contributed something noteworthy to the field of fitness or weightloss/somehow differentiated yourself from all the other people online selling "weightloss ebooks" (like that damn annoying "OBEY ONE RULE" ad that I see all over the ****ing place and then you go to her webpage and it's that stupid chick with the photoshopped weightloss "after" pic and the code to say "I'm so and so from [insert: your home town]" so idiots will think she's local and be more inclined to buy her stupid book).

    3. Explained at a chemical level how your product will help me lose weight? How should I modify my diet? Why? What about insulin sensitivity? How do I know if I'm carb sensitive or not? If so, how do I modify the advice in your book? If not, how do I proceed instead? Can I still eat the foods I like? Do you explain how fat, carbs, and protein factor into weight loss? Do I need to know about glycemic index? What types of protein should I eat? Does bioavailability matter? If I'm a vegetarian can I eat soy protein or does it have to come from meat? What if I'm a male? Will soy protein increase my estrogen production over time?

    4. What sort of exercise should I do to lose weight? Why? Is it important to know my somatype before I begin? Why? How would a mesomorph's workout be different from an endomorph's? (I'm assuming you won't have any ectomorph clients for a weight loss program, lol)

    5. What is the fundamental basis of your program? Why should I pick yours over all the other unsubstantiated bullshit programs out there like SuperSlow, or HIT, or the let's-balance-on-bosu-balls-whlie-doing-curls-and-work-our-"stabalizer muscles" programs? Can you prove the efficacy of your program?

    6. Will my program be personalized or are you giving me a one-size-fits-all program? Is there enough information for me to know how to personalize it based on my individual physiology and metabolism? Can I email you with questions along the way?

    7. What kind of set/rep scheme should I do? Why? Is a full range of motion important or can I do frat boy squats and only go down 1/4 of the way while using way too much weight (lol)? If you give a set/rep protocol, is it substantiated? 3 sets of 8? Why not 3 sets of 9 or 3 sets of 7? Does time under tension (TUT) matter? Is 8 fast reps the same as 8 slow reps? Why? What's happening to my muscles as the metabolic level during each of those situations? Convince me that your method is the most effective compared to others.

Of course, I do ridiculous amounts of research before I buy things, but salesmen hate me anyway.

To be honest, you'll probably sell a lot if you add some more color to the text. A lot of black text tends to make people get bored. Show them something exciting!!! LET'S LOSE SOME WEIGHT!!!

It is certainly a product that has a lot of potential. I have a couple of clients for whom I do tax work who might be interested in promoting it but they would need to know more about the science behind it. I'll have a chat with them next week.

Awesome - tell them if they buy it to send me an email. I'm offering a month free personal online training but it's only for the first 25 people to sign up (and yes, it actually IS only for the first 25 lol, not a marketing scheme)

Plus if they don't like it, it's ridiculously easy to get a refund lol - and I put a lot of science in the book (mostly for the weight loss stuff, not really for working out - maybe I'll add some though).

Too much to reply to, although I'm gonna print that out - you have some good objections that I should address in the copy

So even though I was asking what I could do for affiliates and not the customers, that definitely still helps haha.

Shinmenx - I should also mention that since it's called "Hassle Free" the main point of the program is that they don't have to worry about exactly the "perfect" thing they have to be doing.

For the majority of people (my target audience), they don't care about the tiny changes that making slight changes in their workouts will give them.

For example, although I could help you figure out if you had more fast or slow twitch muscle fibers in your body and base your workout on that...unless you're competition or have some kind of self-esteem issue where you need to be some kind of perfect alpha-male, it usually involves more frustration than what it's worth.

^^ Not saying you're that kind of person, just an example.

With this product I'm not going for people trying to get into fitness competitions. I'm going for "average joes" trying to lose weight and look really good by putting in the least amount of work.

And I back it up w/ a bunch of research and pretty much lay it out like this:

Fitness "experts" say this, here's the research proving them wrong..don't bother.

Fitness "experts" say this, here's some evidence showing they're right...do it.

    Etc. Etc.

I have a feeling it's going to get a lot of press eventually though because I bust a bunch of REALLY big myths, such as the myth that eating 6 meals per day increases your metabolism, which it absolutely doesn't (and I prove it with multiple studies).

Anyway so yea the main premise is that when normal people have to figure out 25 different things to do so their diet is perfect, that's what causes them to get frustrated and give up. This system allows them to not worry so much about the tiny little things that barely make a difference, and focus on the things that will make a difference.

Pretty much..the 80/20 rule applied to fat loss

Plus, it's actually nearly impossible NOT to lose weight doing it - and I even give them a 30 day challenge laying out exactly, step-by-step and day-by-day what they need to do to lose a bunch of weight in the first month. And I encourage them to get a refund if they don't lose a ton of weight...

Ok enough of that, I feel like I'm pitching it and that wasn't the point lol.

I'm gonna go check out that dude Travis Sago - that's the kind of product owner I wanna be.

Thanks for the info so far and keep it comin!
