    I've watched so many Pligg sites come and go it's crazy. I have a list from 6 months ago of about 150 Pligg sites and now only a couple of them are still up.

    IMO it would be very difficult (if not impossible) to make that kind of website go viral. The only way you're going to make a social bookmarking website go viral is if you offer something the big sites don't. But your site looks exactly like the thousands of other Pligg sites.

    @Dan Allard thanks mate..........but i have seen site like tagza.com and fundolink.com are going crazy automatically.

    so in starting what they did..

    I have time to work on it...

    I would use Youtube Personally to start promotion, start using several social sites and people will just naturally come.

      Yes that is exactly how I would do it. Video traffic is the best traffic there is. You don't have to make very complex videos, just slideshow videos with some music and some text would work. Check out Animoto, they have a great service where you can make simple videos. Videos are a great source of traffic. The best part about this, is that by putting a link on youtube counts as great backlinking.

      If you are looking for a place to advertise, youtube is also a great form of advertising... I hope this helps...

    I know this may be difficult, but If you can get a famous person (blogger,warrior, celebrity, etc) or a trend setter to use your site, their thousands of followers would surely follow suit. Don't quote me but I believe that's how spotify became a hit in the U.S. Spotify was invite only at first and they got famous artist to promote to their fans by sending them invites to use the service.

    Didn't think of that usage of someone famous , sounds good . I would also use some kind of video promoter -YouTube- as well. Except from the social websites -facebook, google+ - did you think of google adwords ? I am not 100% sure if they fit you but you can always read their starter guide and understand if it's something for you
