What if you owned a website with over million page views each month? What kind of ads would you put? I am looking for ads where I get paid per viewing, instead of clicks.

Are there any? Is this a good idea or should I just stick with adsense?

thanks

    Hi,

It depends on what the website is about and what type of website it is but Adsense is on the top 3 definitely, Amazon(2'nd) and EPN 3'd for me anyway.

If you are getting a million plus page views, I'm sure you can interest multiple CPM ad networks. You might start with DoubleClick.

Before you sign on, though, compare the revenue per page view. If Adsense pays you more than the PPV rates, stick with it.

[For anyone who might not know, CPM stands for 'cost per thousand'. This is the amount a site would earn per 1,000 page views. Divide the CPM by 1,000 to get the revenue per page view. At 1,000,000 views, multiply the CPM by 1,000 to get the monthly revenue.]

You can go to buysellads.com and they have a pay per impression option. I see some websites on there charging as much as 4 bucks per thousand impressions.

Thanks. This is really helpful. I am now going to look into double click.

It depends on what kind of site is that! These are the few things that I would do, Capturing their E-mails and promoting self created products, CPM Ads, CPA Ads etc.
