Hey all,

As the title says, is expert author status on ezine gimmick? I see some people using it in their credentials, others saying it's a marketing tactic for ezine. Interested to see thoughts on this.

Don't you get expert author status after you publish one article?

It's certainly nothing to be showing off about. I'm not sure who would care?

Each to their own I suppose!

Yeah it's a gimmick and anybody that uses it as a selling point really don't have much to offer in the first place. It doesn't take much to get expert status on EZA.

First of all you need learn what is benefit if you become expert author in ezine article if they says that you as a author will have this benefit that you articles will be shared and showed in all the related article than I believe it is worth to be expert author, or they say that you will shown as expert author in ezine home page than still it will be worth but for ranking in Google or search engine I believe it is a gimmick and nothing else..

At EZA, an expert author is only a beginner. But, milking it for more than its worth can go a long way in terms of marketing one's portfolio.

I don't put too much stock in it, and I don't think that those who syndicate my content from there do either. I'm betting they take my content from there because the piece itself was actually syndication worthy, not because some random website slapped the title "expert" next to my name.

Perhaps I'll ask them though, just to be sure. It would be a shame to learn I was making progress only because EZA approves of me .

Of course, it's a gimmick. Article directories in general, and EZA specifically, were started to provide publishers with content they could freely use by following a few simple rules. What publisher in their right mind would use content by anyone other than an expert?

So, by definition, when EZA accepts your article, you must be an 'expert author', right?

If you can leverage that gimmick for your own benefit, as Paul suggests, more power to you...
