Email List Building Question

I recently read a post on building an email list and for the life of me I cant find the service that helps you build your list. If anybody can point me in the right direction for this service it would be appreciated.

    Do you mean auto responders and list management? If so either aweber or mail chimp.

    Mail chimp is free, aweber is $1 for the 1st month and has a ton of extra options.

    Both have very thorough tutorials on how to set everything up.

    Yep, Deacon is correct.

    The Auto-responder service is the backend of your email list. This is the company you use to manage your individual lists and what your subscribers are signing up to when they use your opt-in forms. From here, you can set auto-responder sequences that your subscribers receive, send customized email blasts, manage subscriptions, and more.

    A few of the popular providers these days are:

    Aweber
    iContact
    Get Response
    MailChip
    Constant Contact

    For increasing your subscriber list, you simply need more traffic on the right pages. Get your visitors in front of high converting opt-in boxes and squeeze pages (pages designed to get that email address from your visitor and have them sign up).

    As far as actual services that will build your list for you (they send you subscribers) I do not know of any. I'd be very skeptical about such a service and would question the authenticity of emails I was paying for. If you use such a service, it would be wise to do your homework on the providers first.

    There are several tools you can use on your sites which are aimed at increasing your subscriber rates. Two premium plugins that come to mind are:

    there was a service for build your list for free on here but you still need everything else set up ahead of time.

    GVO is another and they offer hosting, autoresponder and some other tools all in one.

    Warning, Mail Chimp says NO to affiliate marketing in their terms of service.

    I'm slowly liking get response more and more over a weber. It has some nice features plus it's cheaper. A webers control panel looks nicer but that counts for about nothing.

      Interesting, what do you like about it better? How much cheaper? Not sure about discussing rates here, maybe you can say as a %?

      I've only ever used a weber and I'm very happy now that I've learned all the features. I really like being able to automatically integrate PayPal payments and product delivery, as well automatically have buyers moved to other lists.
