I have a website with a few hundred pages on, the products to sell via affiliate links, all I need is backlinks. What are the easiest and best ways to get backlinks?

    UAW is a great way to get a lot of backlinks with not a lot of work. It's also a great thing you can outsource.

    Agreed, backlinks are not really what you need, it is a by product of what you want, if you build a better mouse trap the world will beat a path to your website.

    Avoid linking packages and buying links, they can cause you a lot of problems. Build links naturally by posting useful information in comments on other sites in your field.

    You can also use yahoo answers to get plenty of real back links that also drive traffic themselves. If you use yahoo answers just make sure you give useful answers on related topics.

    I have spent days and days sometimes doing nothing but building links, commenting on forums, blogs and all kinds, Angelas backlinks etc etc. Most of them get taken down. Very difficult building links "naturally"

    I even spent several weeks making contributions on a forum including articles, surveys, summarising latest news stories on the subject (medical research) without making any links

    after a few weeks I edited my signature, within the forum rules, and continued posting exactly as before. They banned me within days - so I still don't know what to do.

    Seems so tempting to pay someone to do it

    Getting backlinks is easy and cheap. What I do is go to fiverr and buy backlinks.It's easy,cheap,and affordable.

    I never had much success with backlinks. I leave comments with a link on some blog post. No sure it can do much for my blog.

    I'd be very careful about buying any links. So many sites have been getting penalized by google over the last month for unnatural links, and having to try and remove them, I don't think it's worth the risk.

    Many backlinking packages aren't going to be worth what you pay for them. Many simply do web 2.0, forum profile, comment spamming, etc which generally gives you a whole lot of crap all over the web that Google ignores or penalizes you for.

    I'd rather spend a month earning 20 very high quality backlinks, by hand, from sites that I already know Google views as an authority in my niche, than to pay $5 for 1000 backlinks from some company or individual who is just going to spam my anchor text everywhere.

    The only backlinking service I've heard anything decent about has been BuildMyRank.
