I completely agree. You should work on building your list before you start your WSO. It shouldn't take you too long and it will be much easier if you do it this way.

I think that you don't need to drive traffic for your wso launch.
I Mean, the Warrior Special Offers Forum gets thousands of visitors each day, and you have the possibility to bump your thread

    http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...mp-thread.html

However, trying to create a list can be a very good way to begin before that, and try to make you a good reputation.

    Cheers.

This is a common mistake among first time WSO sellers. Simply posting your thread in the WSO forum is very rarely "good enough" to generate the kind of sales you're probably looking for.

Because you've never launched a WSO in the past, your name doesn't come with any real credibility. This will hurt your conversions in many cases.

Furthermore, your post count is only 50. You won't have much "know like and trust" factor working for you, via prospective customers having seen your helpful threads/posts in the past.

Bumping your thread generally won't reinvigorate a dying WSO thread either.

Doing a pre-launch is a good idea. Be mindful that your thread is losing position in the forum all the time, so the longer the pre-launch lasts (if you're planning on doing it inside of the WSO thread), the less foot traffic you can expect unless you bump it afterward.

This strategy will help you build a small list of folks who are interested in your WSO's topic and is helpful in that people who aren't all that interested won't come to your thread after all.

That last part might sound bad, but it's really not.

Ideally, you want targeted traffic coming to your offer - and ONLY targeted traffic. This will help to keep your conversion rate high and makes your WSO appear more interesting for affiliates who may jump on the bandwagon after launch.

Ultimately, if you've never launched a WSO before, your best bet is to partner with someone else who has.

      Cheers,

You could also use the WSO to help build your initial list.

Actually I am not into list building although I agree that is the best way... I would rather pay someone 50% of all the profits from sales for them to promote it to their list... how would I go finding those types of people?

    Interesting question.

I sorta feel like, "is it the chicken or the egg first."

One side says, have a list, then do a WSO.

The other side says, do a WSO to build the list.

Well, my personal experience, I just launched on today!

The thousands of visitors to the WSO forum doesn't mean you'll make a killing! I have not. In fact, I probably won't make enough to cover the cost of the WSO! Thank goodness that Warriorplus is free for this month.

HOWEVER, I managed to get 34 sales (most were through affiliates. 100% commission). So I managed to build a list for about 50 cents per lead. And these are BUYERS. So I am pretty happy with that.

    good luck,

    Ed

First you should create an affiliate program, that way you can have it automatically pay them, instead of having to go & calculate their earnings & send them out by hand.

I recommend searching on here for JVZoo (or just go to jvzoo.com) - they make things really easy.

I literally just made a post about them, which you can find by searching my latest posts.

So I wont go into much detail about them with this one.

Anyway, to launch a WSO, you first need to become a War Room member. This costs 37 dollars for a 20 year membership.

This is a requirement to launch a WSO.

Then, once you are a WR Member, it costs 40 dollars to post a thread in the WSO section.

So at this point, it will cost you around 80 bux to post a WSO - Just making sure you know.

    Hi @Clandog,

What I would suggest is to perhaps wait just a few weeks until you've got a subscriber list of people interested in hearing from you, and some affiliate relationships to mail for you.

If possible, give out review copy's of your program on the private paid section of the WF (War Room) - then ask if the reviewer's would be willing to help you promote it.

If it's a solid product, then the help will also come naturally.

    All the best with it!

Do 100% commissions, and make sure your offer converts. If you have an upsell, do 100% commissions on that too- especially if you don't have a list yet but you want one.

Affiliates will trip over themselves to promote if your offer is going to make them money (meaning conversions and high commissions).

I have launched 2 wso thus far, without even building a list or doing a pre-launch ..

But since you're going to your first and only launch (I reckon it's gonna be something interesting), I highly recommend you to do a pre-launch for at least a week.

The reason why I didn't pre-launch for my first 2 wso is because all i want is take action and get my product out there.. I have the time to play and learn, going through the trial and error and I certainly not gonna stop with just 2 wso.

So for your case, if you're going to do this only one time, then make it a good one

Building up a list, trust and relationship before you sell your product will certainly increase your conversion rates and sales. something that you might wanna consider

    Jeremiah

    P.S. I'm doing a pre-launch for my next product too !

Market it like any other product launch. Build a list, create some videos, get them excited and interested, feed them samples of what they can expect to achieve... continue to grow list, then launch your product.

Viral marketing - you can promote WSO by using viral marketing + affiliate program (powered by WarriorPlus).

    This question...

How do you get traffic for a wso launch?

    Should really be this question...

How do you get traffic for a launch?

A WSO launch should be treated no differently to any other launch.

Things that will help your success are an affiliate program paying high commissions, established credibility, an awesome product, and JV partners. Since you don't have your own list or much established credibility then you will want to offer much higher commission rates to encourage affiliates to take the chance and promote for you.

The trick is to not look at your first WSO as a money making exercise but instead a relationship building exercise. Give away as much of the money as you can to affiliates and JV partners. This will help you develop some valuable relationships and also your own list, both of which will make launches in the future much more profitable for you.

Oversell as much as possible. If you are going to launc an awesome product and if people got a good bargain, expect your list to soar and people to be craving for whatever you release next.

I thought WSO thread had the highest viewed on this forum. Good title and sales letter will get your WSO traffic ready to go. You can buy some solo ads to direct to your WSO link.

just because you dont have a list it doesnt mean you shouldnt launch your product

HOWEVER.... dont expect lots of sales if your just relying on the WF traffic

if you have a good product and a good sales page then yeah you could do well, but generally it does help to build some initial momentum when you send some of your own traffic from your list or you have some jv partners on board sending traffic to the offer too

you have to remember that its all about building momentum, your first wso may not be a massive success, but you can build on it and improve your figures if you do another one

most impirtant thing is though is:

have a good solid product with plenty of value
have a tidy sales page that converts well

without these no affiliate is going to promote it

you dont need to spend thousands on a copywriter designer at first but you do still need your sales page to look half decent with the tools that you have available

Create a good offer with a good sales funnel and the sales will come to you.

Certainly if you have a good sales funnel and sales letter you'll get about an equivalent amount of sales compared to your $40 investment. With that you'll gain some testimonials and have a little credibility. Keep doing this until you have many testimonials at which bumps will be worth their cost. Also, in the meanwhile you can put a banner advertisement in your second post attracting affiliates. You'll get a handful of affiliates promoting your offer and gain a large amount of money this way.

But I'm warning you, it isn't as easy as it seems -- at all.

I have only launched one WSO so far and that was with no list or affiliates on board when I launched.

I did get several affiliates to sign on after launch. One affiliate generated 50% of my sales.

The organic traffic was minuscule compared to the traffic that the affiliates brought in.

I would say that having affiliates with targeted lists is the most important factor in launching your WSO.

Your first WSO launch might not be successful especially when you are new to the game.

Don't worry about that, i have seen WSO that have been here for many years and still growing stronger.

The key is to build reputation, gathering review and this can be done by promoting it in your sig. You will be promoting your WSO for free and still be making some little money to prepare you for the next launch/bump.

I've announced mine on Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook, and asked all my contacts to re-tweet and share it. I'm getting pretty good sales for my first WSO. I figured if I really over-deliver on this one I should get some good reviews which I can post on there, before I bump the thread back to page one.

In effect you get two launches due to the bump which I believe costs an extra $40.

I'm not absolutely certain yet but to "bump" your thread back to page one if it drops down below page three you can pay a certain amount ($40 I think) to bump it back to page one.

You get traffic the same way that you would if you were launching outside the forum.

You make an attractive product with good copy.
You send review copies to people who want to promote your product.
You make sure the commissions are attractive enough for affiliates to promote.
    Then you launch.

After the first wave of purchases come through and product reviews come in, then you buy targeted advertising and traffic for your offer.

    For me...

    1. Collect Reviews
    2. Do a pre-launch to collect emails (Post the reviews at the pre-launch page also)
    3. Launch the thread
    4. Email the list
    5. Give 100% affiliate commissions
    6. Pray to get WSO of the Day
    7. Bump the thread (if your get $60 for each bump that cost $40, so you know that you can bump the WSO heavily)
    8. Buy Solo Ads

The key is to get affiliates on board. As others have said, just launching a WSO on it's own if you have no list will not generate that many sales. You need to have partners on board. Make sure it is a good product, and great value, offer 100% commissions & if possible an upsell to make it more attractive to affiliates.

Start networking - it can make a massive difference to your success. Ken Reno has just launched a new forum called JVPlayground - I'd recommend joining it.

    http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...round-com.html

The contacts you get there (and other places like it) could mean the difference between success and failure.
