Here is a very simple technique that I use that has allowed me to make some extra profits even when local business owners don't use my services. My approach with local business owners is pretty simple. I tell them everything I know about using the internet to attract more customers to their business. Most of them are floored and see that there is quite a bit to do but realize that they don't want to learn how to do all the work that is second nature to you and I. A large number of people ask me if I can do the whole thing for them and obviously I am glad to but there are some people who say they want to give it a shot on their own which is fine with me. So I tell them exactly where to go to get things like autoresponders, mass article submissions, and many other things. Here's the twist. I don't give them the websites for Aweber and other services that I would use. I give them my own URL's that redirect to my affiliate links for the service. I have a different domain name that redirects to each product or service that I recommend to them and they just think that I'm giving them the URL of the regular product or service. What's great about this is that even when they don't use me for their marketing needs many of them end up purchasing stuff through my affiliate links. It's a win win situation for everyone. Here's what's really funny - many of them end up buying stuff through my affiliate links and then end up calling me a few months later saying that they gave it a shot and didn't like it so they want me to do it all for them. I still end up getting the commissions and they end up hiring me as well. Doesn't get much better than that. John |

Nice John...NICE ! Are you masking the REAL DOMAIN name (like Aweber's) when you do this? Seems to me you would be as if you didn't...there will see the redirected Aweber link in the browser and just go to that in the future to purchase. Cheers, Chris Negro |

Chris, I do normally mask the domain but my guess is that it probably doesn't matter. John |

Hi John No need to mask links, ask most people who dont go online much except to maybe check their email they hardly ever look at where site is being directed to they just wait for the end result. PG |

Exactly, that's why I was guessing that it probably doesn't matter. |

Very smart, John. I actually teach a basic class on web marketing tools to chamber members, usually get 4 or 5 to attend these sessions (it teaches about ebay, Amazon, Google, articles, email marketing, etc.) I am no longer surprised by how many people THINK they will do it, then turn around and email me saying they don't have time to run their business and do this stuff. So they send me the business anyway. And, yes, they get my affiliate links in my class follow-up email.
